She reached to the top of her bodice and retrieved my ring. I offered my left hand to her, and she slid the ring onto my finger while saying, “With this ring, I commit these promises to you.”
Jupiter stepped back to us and said, “Do you, Will, take Micca as your lawfully wedded wife, to love and cherish for as long as you both shall live?”
“I do.”
“Do you, Micca, take Will as your lawfully wedded husband, to love and cherish for as long as you both shall live?
“I do.”
“I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
I leaned Micca back and kissed her with the thought that this was the first kiss to walk forward into the rest of our lives, and my Micca didn’t disappoint me, battling for power with our tongues while she gave over her body to me, trusting me to hold her up, relaxed in my arms.
When I finally let her stand again, the audience burst into applause. Or maybe they’d been clapping all along and I hadn’t noticed.
I motioned for Davy to stand, and he did so. I grasped his right hand with my left, and Micca grasped his left hand with her right, so we formed a semi-circle, open to Jupiter.
“And now we begin the wedded couple’s commitment ceremony with their boy, Davy, and his commitment to them. They have again written their own vows, and will exchange rings.”
I let go of Davy’s hand and turned a tiny bit, so I faced him. “I vow to create a space where we can all thrive, where our individual needs are met, and where we can grow together. I promise to share the world with you, to taste every pleasure, to be your confidante. I promise to love and cherish you, to support you in all life's ups and down, through the good times and the bad. I vow to protect you, lead you, guide you, to set boundaries, and to love you unconditionally, always and forever.
I pulled his ring from my left pocket and slid it onto his finger. “With this ring, I commit these promises to you.”
“I accept the ring from my Master as one would a collar. I promise to surrender my will to yours, to trust in your guidance, to find joy in your pleasure, to always be honest with you, to hide nothing of myself, and to love you unconditionally, always and forever.”
I offered the back of my left hand to him, and he leaned forward and kissed my ring. A way to tie him into the ring ceremony Micca and I had just performed.
Davy turned more towards Micca, who faced him and said, “I promise to keep honesty, trust, and love as the foundation ofour relationship. To share my joys and sorrows with you, and to support you in all your outside, permitted endeavors. You’ve taught me the heart can hold an infinite amount of love, and that there are infinite kinds of love. I love you completely, and I vow to protect you, lead you, guide you, to set boundaries, and to love you unconditionally, always and forever.”
Micca lifted Davy's hand and turned the ring in a circle around his finger. “Same ring, same commitment, dear Davy.”
“I accept the ring from my Sir as one would a collar. I promise to surrender my will to yours, to trust in your guidance, to find joy in your pleasure, to always be honest with you, to hide nothing of myself, and to love you unconditionally, always and forever.”
Micca offered her hand, and Davy leaned in to kiss her ring from me.
Jupiter stepped between us and the still blazing sunset and said, “William Ezekiel Bryant, Miccalena Francesca Barone, and David Elijah Jones, with these vows and rings, you commit to choosing each other every day to love, support, grow and celebrate with. Promises, vows, with the infinite circles of titanium rings as a symbol of your union and the commitments you have made to each other, you may now kiss!”
He stepped away again as Micca kissed Davy and then handed him over to me, and I bent my boy over backwards and kissed him in much the same way as I’d kissed Micca. When I let him up, I gave Micca a quick kiss on the lips, and Jupiter said from the side, “I present to you, Lord Byron Wilsin and family!”
The recessional music started, and the three of us made our way between the aisles and then off to have our pictures made. We’d start on the Sunset Lawn, with hopefully still some colors in the sky, and then we’d make our way to a few places on the property with lighting already set up, so we could get good shotsof the three of us. There would be photographers at the reception as well, to get pictures of us with friends.
Micca’s parents wanted some pictures with their daughter before the reception, too, which was fine. I liked her parents, and I was glad Micca had a good relationship with them. I also appreciated that they were close to Matty, and that they’d given him some much-needed adult approval as a teen, when his own parents weren’t exactly supportive of their gay son.
Chapter 47
Micca
The bottom part of my dress came off, so I didn’t have to drag the train around all night. Pictures were kind of a pain in the ass, if I’m honest. Will had hired super-professional people, the ones who do their videos and promo shots, and they were kind of divas about it, but we made it to the reception soon enough. Davy kept the whole thing lighthearted, though, so it was still fun, getting our pictures made. Matty showed up at one of the spots so he and I could get our pictures made together.
Will had put together the music list, and he’d hired a mostly unknown but exceptionally talented cover band to play it, but you have to know Mythic Beast would step in and play at some point, right?
What I didn’t expect, however, was a ballad I’d never heard, a song Will wrote to me and Davy about his love for us, and how important we are to him. The chorus phrase he sang over and over wasA throuple, beloved throuple, beloved soulmates. With you in my world, my bed, and my swimming pool, running the trails with me, cooking meals with me, life has more meaning. Fulfillment, fun, and more sex than anyone has a right to, that’s my life with my two soulmates. Throuple, beloved throuple.
I knew that, once we returned from our honeymoon, commitment ceremony photos would be leaked. The three of us had decided on that ahead of time, and Will had taken Davy to the storage room to be certain he was good with it. No one wasgoing to know there was a legal wedding, but it was common knowledge the three of us were an item. What I didn’t know until after hearing the song for the first time was that this song released today in all the places new songs get distributed, and the video of the group singing it would be officially released shortly before the pictures were leaked. It made sense now, that the band’s area was back away from the crowd, so the video people could get shots of the band singing it from a bunch of directions without getting any of our guests in the shots.
The song touched me in ways I didn’t expect, and Matty came to me with a handkerchief, which I held under my eyes so I didn’t destroy my makeup. I didn’t outright cry, but my eyes watered enough, it would’ve been bad without the handkerchief.
My life had been good before I’d been bitten. Perfect, actually. My best friend right next door, the job of my dreams, and more money than I needed in order to live my life as I wanted. I wasn’t rich, but I had more than enough funds to live in the manner that made me happy.
