I pull back slightly so that I can peer down at his face. "It's okay. I'm glad you could swing this little visit though. I have an early flight tomorrow."
He nods. "Sydney, right?"
"And Melbourne. But I'll be back on Friday for your days off."
He kisses my neck, and I tip my head to the side to give him better access. "Good. Cause I'm going to need to fuck you for hours to make up for all this time apart." He ghosts his lips along my skin, before looking up at me again. "Does that work for you?"
"God yes. I don't suppose I could tempt you with a quickie now?"
He laughs. "As close as Christian and I are, I don't think he'd appreciate being abandoned with the truck while I fuck you upstairs."
I losen my grip with my thighs, sliding down to drop my feet to the ground. "Damn. Cause that uniform..."
That smirk that either frustrates or turns me on, depending on when he does it, appears. "So it really is just all about the uniform, huh?"
I shrug. "What can I say? I like a man in uniform... Although I'd much prefer you in no clothes at all."
Someone coughs behind me, and I spin around, coming face to face with his partner.
"Um, hi," Christian says, grinning.
"Hi, you must be Christian?" I stick my hand out, not even slightly embarrassed that he heard me propositioning Cam.
Christian shakes my hand as Cam slides his arm around my shoulders, nodding. "Yep, this is the man forced to deal with my sorry arse when you aren't around."
Christian shoots me a wink. "And it's a real burden, trust me. All he does is mope about not getting to hang out with you. It's disgusting." He studies me for a moment. "Have we met before?"
I side-eye Cam, who shrugs. "Yeah... You guys came to help a patient at my work a few months ago."
I can practically see the wheels turning in his head while he tries to work out which patient. And I can tell the minute he figures it out.
"Oh!" His eyes dart towards Cam, then back at me.
Then back to Cam.
His face turns red, and he clears his throat.
"You okay there?" Cam asks, taking far too much joy in his friend's embarrassment.
"Yep, all cool here. Why wouldn't it be cool?"
Both their radios start going off on their belts, and Christian looks down at the phone in his hand. I'm sure he is thanking God for saving him from this awkwardness.
"We better go," Cam says, gently pulling me around to kiss me softly before he leaves.
"Bye, Imogen. It was nice to meet you... Well, again, I guess."
I grin, waving them both off. "It was good to see you too, Christian. Maybe next time you'll be able to look me in the eye."
He blushes again, turning to look at Cam as they walk back to the ambulance. "Dude, a bit of fucking warning next time," he mutters.
Cam chuckles, winking at me over his shoulder. "Yeah, but then I wouldn't have gotten to witness that epic case of tongue-tied you just had, and where would the fun be in that?"
Shaking my head at his antics, I wait for them to leave, waving as they head off.
When I'd first realised Christian didn't know how we'd met, I'd thought Cam was too embarrassed to tell his friends about me. But I can see it's just because he's a shit-stirrer and wanted to make his friend squirm when he worked it out.
Such an arsehole... But I guess he's my arsehole.
