Sebastian sits back and runs his thumb across his bottom lip. It's fucking hot, and I don't think he's even aware of it. It's just part of his natural state. He couldn't turn off the magnetic pull any sooner than he could stop breathing.

"You love her, don't you?"

I freeze, caught off guard. "Um..."

He smirks. "Haven't said those words to each other yet, have you?"

I shake my head. "To be honest, neither of us has been brave enough to even define whatever the hell it is we're doing. But... Yeah, I think I do. Actually, no. IknowI do. Love her, I mean. She's the most intriguing woman I've ever met. And she pushes me. In the months we've been hanging out, I've done and seen things that I never thought I would, and I've loved every second."

"That's the right answer, Cam. And given your own curiosity and willingness to explore new sides of yourself, I think you are the perfect match for her."

I consider his words for a moment. "And that doesn't bother you? I know you guys..."

He shakes his head. "Whilst Imogen and I are very close friends, the attraction between us is purely physical. I don't really do love. And I know that, until you came along, Imogen felt the same way."

"And you think that's changed for her now?"

He smiles, cocking his head slightly. "I do. We've had some interesting conversations of late, which I'm aware Annika hasfilled you in on. She has been pushing back against her natural instincts, determined that you would feel like she was cheating if she gave in to those urges. She never would have even considered denying herself beforehand."

I sigh as I nod. "Yeah, Annika mentioned that. I've told her I'm okay with her continuing to sleep with both you and her, because I knew that was what she was into before we started down this road. I don't want her to give up the things or people she loves in order to be with me. So I don't know what more I can say that will make her believe me."

Sebastian nods. "Perhaps... You need to show her."

"How?"

A slow smile spreads across his face as he explains his plan, and I have to admit, it just might work.

BREAKING UP IS SOMETHING THAT COUPLES DO

Annika picksher phone up for the thousandth time since I sat down. It's annoying the shit out of me after she guilted me into coming out for lunch, when all I really wanted to be doing was riding my boyfriend's cock after a week of forced celibacy.

That's right, I said boyfriend.

Just not out loud.

"Okay, you're being weird. Why do you keep checking your phone?" I snap.

She drops the aforementioned phone onto the table and shoots me a guilty little smile. "Sorry."

I frown. "Who are you waiting for a message from? You never look at your phone."

She shrugs. "No one in particular."

I smell bullshit.

It's not like Annika to be cagey about anything. It's also not like Annika to be anxiously waiting for a message or phone call. She’s one of the chillest people I know, so this behaviour is definitely out of characterfor her.

"Has something happened with Connell?" I ask, trying to get to the bottom of the weirdness.

She screws up her face. "Nothing new. I wish I could work that guy out. I know he's into me, so I don't get why he's being all 'can't touch the pretty girl' with me. The other day, I bumped into him in the kitchen when I was looking for a midnight snack, and he could barely look at me."

I raise an eyebrow. "And you were wearing what at the time?"

She grins. "Absolutely nothing."
