Degar had removed the bullets before calling the human doctor who managed to bandage the wounded area. But it is still a bad wound that needs to be treated properly.

As Wolfaraine walked from the bedroom to his bathroom, Degar had to swallow a wince with each step he took. It must hurt like the very devil.

And yet, the Alpha King did not give away any reaction, except a slight limp as he walked.

Again, Degar marveled at how strong he is. A male who single-handed killed hundreds of armed soldiers hours ago, with only two bullets in the left leg to show for such a dangerous, bloody fight.

"I will make sure we conclude this business fast, so, we can go back home." Degar vowed out loud.

Rhodium acts like a poison. It never heals and it spreads like a virus unless it is treated properly. Or it will be critical.

The Alpha King's leg has to get treated as soon as possible.

Simon felt dizzy when his eyes opened. A dark room. He was in a dark room. A window to the right has some sort of a blinding light coming through it. And, he was not here alone.

He tried to move, but he could not. It came to his realization that he was restrained to a chair and his hands were tied behind his back.

A shadow came forward, directly walked into the illumination of that light, and that was when he saw the man it was.

At first, he looked like a stranger. A face he was never seen before. He is not a changeling either. So, what does a dumb human male want with him!?

But, as he pushed his eyes to slits and looked again... This face...

His eyes opened widely to see clearly, the man in front of him.

"You..." That single word came out hoarse from his mouth, filled with surprise.

"Hello, Simon." The voice said.

It's him! Indeed, it's him!!

"Dr. Hector...? What is... What is..?" Simon was too shocked to form words.

Dr. Hector!?

But, he died eighteen years ago with Dr. Angor!?

"You look older now, Simon. Older than you're supposed to look." Dr. Hector said casually. "Guess the years weren't good on you."

"You're alive...? Hector, you are really alive...!? We all thought you were dead! Why did you only show up now!? Dr. Beloca will be happy to know you are alive!"

"Oh... Beloca? He runs things now?" Dr. Hector walked to a corner, his eyes on a dusty old chair positioned to the wall.

"Yes, he does. Wait. Why do you have me tied here?" He tugged at his restrains, "Untie me right now, doc. We are on the same side! Untie me, this shit hurts."

Hector lifted the chair, came back in front of his prisoner, lowered it, and sat down on the squeaky chair.

"Untie me, I have changelings to catch and I've got a mission to get on to." He tugged at his restraints again.

"The changeling male has killed off all of your men. I took you before he could get to you."

"You did?" Simon was grateful, even as he was angry that he is still restrained, "Thank you for saving my life, now you have to let me go—"

"I did not save your life, Simon. And I have no plans of letting you go." Hector said bluntly.

That was when Simon saw it. A coldness in Hector's eyes. That look...

"Are you going to kill me?" He blurted out.
