"Damn, would have been so better if she fainted." She pursed her lips, "Well, it doesn't matter. I'll tease her anyway. Sandra with her big, hairy balls, getting so scared in front of a male who's fresh and blood like her."

"Is that so? You were just as scared when we first met." He drawled.

"She doesn't know that," she grinned mischievously. The truth is that she's still scared of him, but not as much as it was in the beginning. Now, she has gotten to know him and it has eliminated some of her fears for him.

Plus, he wasn't wearing half as much frown as he used to wear then—atleast, not in front of her. Not lately.

He watched the excitement on her beautiful face, it was fascinating.

The way he was looking at her made her brighten the more, even as it made her feel shy.

He rose then, "The night is beautiful, Ismena. I will like to invite you for a walk."

After being in Naturiah for months and after last night, that statement sounded like 'let's go out on a date' to her.

"I will love to go out for a walk with you, but...uhh..." She cleared her throat, "...but my thighs h-hurt and I'm really s-sore down there too. I think this bed is offering the best comfort ever."

He gently picked her up with one hand and ever-so-slowly, he settled her on his back in a piggyback manner. "How about a ride?

She was shocked to her bones and it showed. She'd gone still behind him. Wolfaraine wants to give her a piggyback ride!

"You are no longer breathing. Why? Do you think I would hurt you?"

"No, it's not that. It's..." She trailed off, her heart racing in her chest, "But what about your wounded leg?"

"You healed it perfectly last night." He groaned.

Butterflies broke out in her belly and she felt light-headed too.

Suddenly, Ismena was wishing this day never ends.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. "I want a ride, please."

CHAPTER 29. DILEMMA.

The night was beautiful. When the Alpha King stepped out of the Tower with her strapped behind his strong back.

Ismena felt the happiest and most secure, especially when the night air caressed her hot skin.

The sentinels guarding the Tower bowed their heads in chronological sequence as he passed by them. Out of the huge gates, he took the path of the woods.

Ismena was surprised at the number of changelings they saw on the pathway to the woods, but then, she wondered why she was surprised?

This is a changeling world. These people are part-animals and they love the woods more than the road. It's fascinating.

Wolfaraine has always been a lover of silence, he can stay the whole day without saying a word.

But, she wanted to hear him speak. She loved hearing his voice.

"The night is beautiful, don't you think?" She asked, initiating a conversation.

"Yes, she is. Just like the night before." He looked up to the sky, "I heard a lot of my people outside, last night. They love a good night because it's a great time to run and play around."

His reference to last night made her go warm inside. Not in an I-wanna-have-sex kinda way but in the I-love-remembering-our-intimate-moment-together kinda way. Guess, her body was still satisfied from the night before.

"I love Naturiah," she sighed, "I love the simplicity and honesty of the people. The love among these people is marveling. You can hardly see the crimes and hideous criminalism of my own world here."

Wolfaraine loved to hear her say that. "Humans hate each other. Humans envy each other too. That is the root of most of those crimes. We do have crimes too, but it's not half as much as humans do."
