I felt a hand on my shoulder, “Damn, yo gorilla ass going soft aren’t you?” Diamond laughed.
Foe and Preach went to the back and came out with bags. Each bag was placed in front of them. Chev jumped on the table, slicing the rope and allowing them to hit the floor. I saw Freckles’ face slam to the floor. I rushed over to her. I rubbed the side of her face, then kissed it. “I’m ok,” she whispered.
I knew Chevy wasn’t going to ease up on her. It was part of being in the crew, treating everyone equally. I lifted and stepped back. They all groaned as they slowly lifted. They each began opening the bags, and their eyes shot up one by one and looked at Chevy.
“Fifty thousand for each of you except Beans. Beans, I know you don’t need the money, and if I were to give it to you, all you would do is give it back. This money is to help you get youraffairs in order. It’s my offering to you all for being a part of the Zoo!”
They all pulled their jackets out of the bag and slid them on. Freckle’s body leaned back, and baby howled sexily.
Clap! Clap!
“One, two, the Zoo is coming for you,” Diamond started.
Clap! Clap!
“Three, four, niggas better lock their doors,” Foe gritted.
Clap!
“Learn this shit! I want y’all to embrace the fucking Zoo!” Chevy roared.
“Five, six, we came to shake up shit,” I came in.
Chevy growled. “Seven, eight, better come at us straight.”
“Nine, ten, can you see us coming?” Preach finished.
They smiled with admiration. We had now gone from a crew of five to eleven, and something in me told me this was the start of something good.
“Ain’t this a bitch!” I shouted in my helmet.
I sped through the highway, trying to keep my emotions in check. “Fucking bitches!” I shouted again.
I knew something was up when I called Beans and Mali to chill and them niggas said they had something to do. We were supposed to be a fucking crew, a team. However, those niggas got put on and not me. Chevy, fuck nigga walking around the building like some fucking king. How could he run a group of muhfuckas he didn’t know? I should have shot through the doors at they ass.
At first, I thought the Zoo Boyz were it. I knew that being a part of the team would do shit I’d never imagined in the underground bike world. I should have known the day I met incredible hulk bitch ass things weren’t going to go right. They had probably swayed Sash into going against me. I knew Sasha had everything to do with me not being put on. Bitch could barely ride. I had been riding longer than her ass. Now it made sense why she wanted to talk to a nigga on the side. I knew her fucking with one of them Zoo bitches this would happen, and it made me even more mad. Sasha, the girl I thought was on a nigga’s team. “Bitch!”
I switched gears swerving past a slow ass car and I held up my middle finger, to ensure they saw me. All this did was brought back flash backs to when a nigga was supposed to be a part ofSeven to da Cove. Shit, I was with Pierre all the time. I was with them when they did their dirt. When Pierre caught his first body. When Bishop sold his first piece of crack, but somehow, I was left out. I hated all of them niggas. It brought back when I tried getting my auntie to let me stay with her until I had gotten my paper up to get my own spot. She agreed then changed her mind and wouldn’t let a nigga step foot in her house. I was her nephew, blood. She was supposed to look out and turned her back on me just as everyone else had.
Since I was a jit people had always promised me things then switched up on me. Pierre, although he had times, he would piss me off he had always looked out for a nigga. My cousin knew what it was like for me. With a crackhead momma and a father, I knew nothing about. My nigga had always sacrificed shit for me, and I prayed like a muhfucka the feeling I had in my gut of him changing on me was wrong.
I knew I had to step in somewhere, and what better way to do that than to allow enemies to take each other out? It would be up to me to make that shit happen, and then Pierre and I could run the muhfuckin Cove. Yeah, Pierre was going to be my way to the top.
My lips traced Tuesday’s back as she lay on her belly, asleep. Her soft skin was addictive. At first, I questioned how I had ended up here, but the truth was that I had wanted to be here. After what happened at the lounge, I knew I was never getting Sasha back. She was happy with that nigga and a part of me was happy for her. However, we still had a chapter that needed to be closed. The beef between Zeus and me had become bigger as Bishop and Chevy had their own.
The banging on my door made me shoot straight up. “The fuck?” I mumbled.
I glanced over at Tuesday’s naked body as she was still asleep. I reached over and picked up my phone to see it was three in the morning. I quickly got out of bed, slipped on my basketball shorts, and slid the sheet over her body. I hurried out of the room trying to get downstairs as quickly as I could before whoever it was banging on my shit woke her up.
I unlocked the door, “Who the fuck is—”
As soon as I opened the door, Quinton barged in. “Them hoe niggas!” he yelled.
I dropped my head. “Yo, ease up on the yelling. I have company.”
Quinton paced back and forth in the foyer. “I knew it,” he gritted.
“Man, let’s go in the kitchen to talk and calm the fuck down.”
