He shuddered.

"But, I will still advice—"

"That will be all, doctor." Wolfaraine spared the doctor a blank stare that spoke volumes. He wants the human doctor away from him.

His cougar wanted nothing more than to tear him apart. It growled inside him, baring its teeth. Wolfaraine closed his eyes and took deep breaths, trying to suppress the cougar's instincts, even as he wasswallowing the pains shooting all over him from his injured leg. "Leave this place, doctor."

The doctor swallowed down his fear. He looked worriedly at the other bulky man standing beside the bed of his huge, scary patient.

The man looked resigned. "That will be all, doctor. Thank you so much for coming down here."

The doctor still wanted to persist in persuading his patient to come down to the hospital to get his wounds properly treated, but one look at the patient in question killed his doctor's instincts. "Okay, I'll b-be on my way now."

"I told you not to bring me a doctor." Wolfaraine said without taking his eyes away from the paper in front of him after the doctor left.

"Forgive me, Alpha King. I couldn't just sit back and watch you in so much pain, even though you hid it so well. I had to do something." He bowed his head as a sign of pleading for his forgiveness, "Even if it means bringing in a human doctor."

"You know more than I do that their drugs won't heal the wound. It is just a waste of time."

"But it'll help reduce the pain no matter how little," Degar countered softly, "At least until I'm able to arrange for Harhan, the healer, to come here to the human wor—"

"Do not bother, Degar." Wolfaraine interrupted. "Even if you get Harhan here, there is only little he can be able to do. This is not a small wound, as you know."

That was when he raised his head a bit to look at the leopard Alpha, "You and I know that I'll need more than Harhan's herbs for this leg to heal properly."

Degar knows that too, which is why it worries him greatly. The Alpha King needs body intimacy with a female. A lot of it.

And very soon too.

"Am I permitted to suggest..." The leopard Alpha trailed off uncertainly.

An uncomfortable silence followed.

"I am not taking a female sentinel to my bed, Degar." Just the thought of it, has the wolf stretching awake its teeth bared in aggression.

But that was not what had him blinking in surprise.

It was the way he felt completely repulsed by the idea too. Him. His male self, not the part of him that is a werewolf.

His body wanted Ismena. Not the body of any female sentinel. It was greatly surprising.

But, he hid well behind the pains through his body from his left leg. "I am not taking a female sentinel to my bed." He repeated, calmly.

Alpha Degar took a deep breath at the Alpha King's adamancy. "Okay. Another suggestion I can think of is going back to Naturiah, My King. Let's go back and treat your leg. Then, we come back—"

"It'll already be too late by then, Degar. Yacht Farmland will sell the lands to Nector and Co. Limited. You and I know how bad that'll affect this business branch." He folded the papers and straightened on the bed. "I will survive, Degar. It's just a leg. So, let's stay here and get this done."

"But—"

"My decision is final." Hestated firmly.

Degar wanted so hard to make him listen, but he knows how futile his attempt will be. Once the Alpha King decides, it's final.

"As you wish, Alpha King." He responded at last.

Wolfaraine nodded curtly. "Our best bet is to conclude this business as fast as we can before going back, Degar."

"Okay. I will call Alpha Cronus to set another date for our meeting with Yacht Farmland, and to set it as soon as possible." Degar said, watching his Alpha King stand on his feet, wobbling a bit.
