Visually, Axl would make a great Dom, and it reminded Dillon of the times he’d played that role or submitted to others. He wouldn’t be surprised if Axl had a whip hidden somewhere in his jacket.
Dillon shuddered. Did his coat hide his unintended response? He forced a smile.
“Hi.” Leo grinned. “You all look awesome.” He ran his hand through his hair. “This will be fun. We even got Dillon out of hiding.”
“Cinders did that,” Syd said. “He’s a miracle worker.” He grasped Nat’s hand. “Let’s go. I’ve got better things to do.”
“No, you don’t.” Nat swatted Syd’s hip. “You’ve got better people. Me.”
“I do.” Syd nuzzled Nat.
Dillon couldn’t help the longing within him. He wanted that kind of love and devotion. Someone to protect him and be his partner. He liked having positive role models and friends to emulate.
Syd flattened his hands on Nat’s chest. “You’re right. We’ve got other things we could be doing. Let’s go so we can get tothose thingsfaster.”
“Get a room,” Axl said. He held Leo’s hand. For such a brutish, large man, he acted so tender toward Leo.
Dillon suppressed a sigh. Though he felt like the fifth wheel, he kept with the motley group and was secretly glad to be included. He felt safer with them. Axl and Leo and Syd and Nat were already bonded. They’d have no interest in him, but they’d protect him. Good God, Axl looked scary enoughwithoutthe leather and chains. He might be able to keep Avan at bay just by glaring at him.
