“Oh god no. It was a seafood restaurant down the street. We’re staying here though.” Her eyes sparkled again. “As are you?”
“No, I just frequent hotel bars hoping random women will buy me shots and seduce me into the hot tubs after hours.”
No giggle this time. Instead she tossed her head back and gave me a full throated laugh. “You don’t seem to need much seducing.”
“You’re a very beautiful woman. Fit as fuck I might add.” I let my hands trace the muscle of her thigh, appreciating the line and strength. Part of me wanted to ask if she was an athlete as well, the other part wanted to know as little as possible so the morning was easier.
“Thank you. I find your body pleasing to my eyes as well.”
The damndest thing happened. I smiled. “I’m glad you find it pleasing.” I reached her hip and started back down to her knee. “You seem to know the hotel pretty well. And Scotty.”
“Don’t be jealous of Scotty. He prefers Marissa and Daphne.” She touched my chest, resting her palm flat against my pectoral. “I know Scotty far too well to ever sleep with him.” She shuddered and gagged. “He’s not my brother, but he’s kind of like my brother. So I’m happy he and my friends get along so well, but no, he and I will never be a thing.”
“What makes you think I’m jealous?” How could I be jealous of a man I didn’t know?
Except, if I paid attention to all the things I was feeling tonight, I might have to admit that one of those feelings was, in fact, jealousy.
“Oh well, good that you’re not jealous then. All that brooding staring and grunting was just because you were excited about the champagne I suppose? Or maybe you’d prefer to find Daphne, Marissa, and Scotty?”
Fuck no. “I’m very happy where I am, thank you.”
Her eyes sparkled again. I really liked the way they danced around. Like they were full of secrets and if I was very good at seducing her, she’d tell them to me. “Well good. I like where I am as well.”
I didn’t say anything as she straddled my knee, didn’t move when her wet bra and breasts pressed flush against my chest. I let her kiss me first. It was a good kiss. Soft, curious, sweet. “What do you want with me?” I finally asked because my cock was good and hard now, straining painfully to be inside her and I wanted to be crystal clear where this was going before I said or did anything else.
She kept her eyes closed. “I’m almost naked in a hot tub, alone, kissing you. What do you think I want, Rhett?”
“I don’t guess.”
She sighed, opened her eyes. “I’m about to start a ten-week road trip for work. It’s going to be incredibly stressful, fast paced, and busy. Tonight I was hoping to get a little drunk at our party, have a fun time with my friends, and then hopefully find a hot guy to give me a screaming orgasm to keep me loose. The party was canceled but the hotel bar was open, so getting a little drunk still happened. I had fun with my friends. Now I just need to find that orgasm and,” she jerked back a little, hands out like she was holding a platter, “look what the hotel gods served me up. An extremely hot grump of a man who looks like he could use a screaming orgasm just as badly as I could. Seems like fate if you ask me.”
My dick wasn’t just hard now. My whole body was granite, turned on and tuned in to this woman, like someone had twisted all my dials until I was made just for her. “Well then, seems we’re perfect for each other because I’m also in the middle of a very stressful road trip, and it’s not looking to let up any time soon.” It also meant we understood each other. We both had places to be tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that. No awkward text messages, no stolen t-shirts.
“Excellent news.” She placed her hands on my shoulders and lifted her body up in the water, wrapping her legs around my waist. “Is that tent in your boxers real or are you just teasing me?”
“What?” I sputtered. No woman had ever been so funny or free with me. She didn’t seem real. Hope was so relaxed. And confident.
But mostly relaxed. I realized that was throwing me more than anything else. She wanted this. Wanted me. Not an autograph or souvenir.
Unless orgasms counted.
“Oh I got a look before the moon disappeared behind that cloud.” She winked. “I was quite impressed. And now I’m looking for confirmation.” She ground against me.
I felt good. And freeing to be with her. Strangely freeing. My shoulders relaxed and I let my guard slip part of the way down as I took her hand and wrapped it around my erection. “Does that meet your standards?”
She sucked in a breath, her breasts rising and falling between us, then bit her lower lip between her teeth like she had when I slid her off the bar. “Oh yes. That will do nicely.”
I kissed her lip lightly until she released it, then kissed her again, long and deep, feeling her body move against mine, her pussy so close and hot. It was easy to move her around in the water, to nuzzle her neck. She responded quickly. Hungrily. I wanted more, but not here. “We can play as long as you like. Drink the champagne. But then I’m going to need a proper bed.” The doubt from earlier was gone now, replaced by a laser focus on exactly what I wanted: Hope.
She reached past me to pick up the bottle, taking a sip, then offered more to me. “I have the perfect place.” She moved to the wall and hauled herself out onto the grass. “Come on then. I have the beach bungalow just on the other side of the gate and Scotty will take the girls back to his place. We’ll have it all to ourselves.”
She disappeared into the darkness. When I picked up the bottle I realized she left her bra wrapped around it.

The hotel had three main types of rooms. The regular King and Double rooms, a separate tower with high end suites for high profile guests, and then a line of bungalows near the beach. The team always stayed in the tower because the rooms were nicer and there was extra security. I never stayed in the bungalows, but I assumed they were bigger, nicer, and even more expensive.
Which made me wonder who Hope was or what she did for a living. I followed her shadow across the spa garden, through a gate, and up to a bungalow lit with low lighting. The windows weren’t covered and the door remained open. Inside I could see her silhouette moving around.
