“The kind that’s dictated by the sun. Trust me, Lexie knows what she’s doing. She knows the exact time to get the best shots and not make us be out there for hours doing nothing. That’s why she’s so good.”

Stopping outside our hotel room door, Kade inserts the keycard and then holds the door open for me to go inside first. “Do you think she’d let me come and see the process?”

“As long as you’re not distracting me or anyone else, I don’t see why not. She let you come on the trip, didn’t she?”

He picks me up, my back to his front, and him leaning over me as he walks us over to the sliding door. His body covers mine; he’s so much larger than me. I used to think I’d be scared of being with a man his size, but with Kade, I find it makes me feel safe.

“I think we made the right call on having dinner on the beach. It’s beautiful down there. Do you need to get cleaned up before we head down?”

“I’m so hungry right now, I don’t care. Let’s go eat, and when we get back, I’ll take a shower.”

Kade hums as he runs his nose along the column of my neck. “Maybe I’ll join you to do my part in conserving water.”

Reaching up to hook my arm around his neck, I run my fingers through his soft hair. Kade makes a purr-like sound as I continue. “I like the sound of that.”

“If you’re hungry, we should probably go. Otherwise, I’m going to spend the rest of the night feasting on you.”

Again, I like that idea, but my stomach answers for me by growling like a dinosaur’s living inside.

“First, let’s feed you, and then I can attend to your other needs,” Kade chuckles. “Have you missed me?”

“I understand you were trying to get in as many appointments as possible before we came, but my bed has been awfully lonely.”

“I feel the same way,” he pulls back and grabs my hand, pulling me toward the door. “We’ll have to work something out once we get back because I can’t go two weeks without having you in my bed.”

When I read about pregnant women wanting more sex than normal, I thought it wasn’t true or wouldn’t happen to me. It’s either me being pregnant, or Kade’s brought something out in me because I want sex all the time. And I mean all the time. I can be eating, sleeping, driving, or walking. It doesn’t matter what I do.

Kade tried to get me to try phone sex, but no matter how much I wanted it, I couldn’t bring myself to do it.

Once we’re in the elevator and alone, I turn to Kade. “Is it normal to want sex this much, or is there something wrong with me or the baby?”

Pulling me into a hug, Kade lets out a booming laugh. “Just when I thought I’d heard everything, you go and ask that. No, there’s nothing wrong with you or the baby. It’s perfectly healthy. You have more blood now that you’re pregnant.”

“Well, my blood is flowing extremely well because I swear it’s all I can think about. If I wasn’t starving to death, I would have jumped you the second we got into our hotel room.”

“You know if you agreed to phone—” I place my fingers over his mouth, not wanting to hear it.

“Don’t you dare say what you were about to say. Do you think I haven’t been taking care of myself? I’ve been alone for years, and a woman has needs, but I can’t dothat.”

I feel him shaking with laughter. “You make no sense.”

Ducking my head, I bury it in his chest. “I grew up in a very conservative home, and it makes me uncomfortable to even talk about sex, let alone…”

“It’s okay. I understand, but if you ever change your mind.” I look up at him, and he’s fighting back a smile to keep from laughing.

“If I do, you’ll be the first person to know. I like the real thing, anyway.”

“The real thing?” He gets out a rumbling laugh. “I’m so glad my dick is now being referred to as the real thing. I can’t wait to show you ‘the real thing’ because he and I have missed you.”

Wrapping my arms around him, I smile. It still amazes me this drop-dead gorgeous guy wants me, and we’re having a baby together. I like he missed me, and that it wasn’t only me.

Stepping out of the hotel, the smell of ocean air and the humidity hits me. My skin is covered in a sheen of sweat in a matter of seconds.

“Oh my, how am I going to function here? It’s so hot.” My body wilts against Kade’s as he walks us over to the hostess station.

“You’re going to need to figure out a way to stay cool. Cold water on towels around your neck. Something. Anything that helps if you start to feel sick.” He stops us, and we wait for the hostess to finish up with the couple in front of us.

As I look around, I notice that every single table has a couple sitting at it.
