“I was just telling Cash how you two got married instead of me.” Jordan shook his head while chuckling. “I’m happy you two worked out. For a minute there, I was worried.”

“When are you going to find a girl and settle down?” Everly asked. “If you want, I can set you up with one of my clients. There’s this one girl, and—”

“I found someone.” Jordan stopped her.

“My man, you work fast,” Leo stated, chuckling.

“Well, we should do dinner with her sometime soon,” Everly smiled, happy Jordan had found someone. I wondered how happy she would be when she found out it was me.

“We are having dinner, except Cash is not a ‘she,’ but a ‘he.’” Jordan clasped my hand with his and placed them on top of the table.

“Wait, what?” Everly knitted her brows.

“Cash is my boyfriend,” Jordan simply stated, like he wasn’t nervous about how his best friend would react.

“Well, that’s new.” Leo leaned forward with his elbows on the table. “Are you happy?”

“I’m happier than I’ve ever been, and it’s all thanks to this man right here.” Jordan lifted our joined hands in the air.

Leo smiled at us from across the table. “That’s all that matters then.”

Damn, if I didn’t wish everyone that came out took the news as easily.

“I think so. You’ll never believe who his sister is, though.” Jordan looked to Everly.

“Am I supposed to know?” She asked, her brows knitted.

“No, you’re not,” Jordan laughed.

“Okay, tell us who. Stopped playing with us,” Leo demanded.

“Cash’s sister is… Camila.” Jordan drew her name out, prolonging the torture.

“No, shit,” Leo sputtered. “Is that how you met?”

“I walked into Cash’s bar and went home with him.” Jordan looked back and forth between Leo and Everly before he continued. “The next morning, I was in the kitchen, and Camila came in.”

“What?” Everly shouted. “How did that go over?”

“I gave her twenty-four hours to get out of my house. How do you think it went?” I said with a little too much bite. It still hurt that my own sister couldn’t accept my sexuality.

“Yikes,” Leo grimaced.

“She said some things you can’t ever take back. It was ugly,” Jordan explained, giving my fingers a small squeeze.

“I don’t want to be on Camila’s side,” Everly frowned, “But I have to say it would be quite shocking to find an ex with your brother or sister.”

“No, you’re right about that. I can’t imagine how I’d feel if I caught one of my exes with my sister.” I frowned at the thought. “I had no idea he was the same Jordan. We’d never met, and I never saw any pictures.”

“No, of course, you didn’t know.” Leo leaned one elbow on the table and locked eyes with me. “I have to say I’m not a fan of your sister.” He looked around the table and then back to me. “I don’t think any of us are, so I wouldn’t put too much stock into what she said. If Jordan has put his stamp of approval on you, then I’ve got to believe you’re a good guy.”

It wasn’t until that moment that I realized how much I wanted Leo’s approval. Not only for Jordan but also for me. I didn’t want to come between their friendship, and now it looked like that wouldn’t happen.

Leo’s brows puckered. “Wait a minute. I thought Camila was in Minnesota. Did she follow you here?” He asked Jordan.

“After Vegas, I went to our place and immediately moved out. I hadn’t seen her up until she found me in Cash’s kitchen.”

“Oh shit, what I wouldn’t have given to witness that,” Leo laughed, his blue eyes sparkling.
