“Yeah, I think we were all shocked,” Jordan laughed nervously. “You must be shocked.”

“I won’t lie. I am. Abouteverything, but really, dude, if you’re happy, I’m happy. I don’t care who you like or love.”

Jordan reached over and clapped Leo on the shoulder. “Thanks, man, that means a lot to me. I was slightly worried you’d think I’m a freak.”

“You know what makes you a freak? Eating pickles stuffed with hot chicken.” Leo gagged and covered his mouth.

What the ever-loving fuck?

Turning to Jordan, I tried to hide how grossed out I was, but there was no way to hide it. “Please tell me he’s lying?”

“It’s disgusting, right?” Leo nodded, his eye wide.

“Where would you even come up with a combination like that?”

“Hey, don’t knock it until you’ve tried it,” Jordan laughed.

“If you order that, I’m leaving, and I might kick you out of my bed,” I chuckled. I wouldn’t, really, but I wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to handle seeing him eat something so gross.

Jordan rolled his eyes. “You mean ours, not my bed.”

“Are you two living together?” Everly asked excitedly.

“Officially, after he came to meet my parents last weekend, and I came out to them.”

“You didn’t say anything about coming out to your parents.” If it was possible, Leo leaned closer. “How did that go?”

“They were shocked at first since I’ve only brought girls home, but when I said that eventually, we’d have kids via a surrogate or adoption, then my mom wanted to know dates,” Jordan laughed. “If it was up to her, I’d make her a grandma tomorrow.”

“Welcome to our world,” Leo chuckled, wrapping his arm around Everly’s shoulders.

“I’m going to the bathroom before our waiter comes to take our order. I’ll be right back.” Jordan stood and ran his hand along my shoulders.

“I’ll be right back.” I smiled as I stood and followed Jordan. I could hear Leo chuckling as I left the table.

He was standing in front of the sink when I walked inside.

Wrapping my arms around him from behind, I kissed the side of his neck. “That went well.”

“Better than I ever thought it would. I feel bad my family and Leo are so accepting and yours…”

Aren’t. He didn’t need to say it. I’d been living it for far too long.

“Yeah, mine are a bunch of right assholes, I know. But I’m happy for you. Unfortunately, not everyone you come into contact with is going to be as accepting as they are.”

“I know,” he turned around and wrapped his arms around my waist. “But as long as I’ve got you by my side, everything will be fine.”

Damn, if I didn’t love him. It was scary to feel this much for someone so fast, but I knew Jordan was the one for me. I was thankful he walked into my bar when he did.

Pushing him up against the sink, I crushed my mouth to his, sucking on his full lips and swirling my tongue against his. Only stopping when we needed to come up for air.

“We should probably get back to your friends before I take you in this bathroom,” I panted.

“Promises, promises,” he groaned before opening the door.
