“When you bringin’ yo ass home?” I frowned and asked after answering the FaceTime for Kenya.

I already knew the answer to the question considering the trip was only four days and we were on day three, but I was ready for her ass to come back now. Even when a nigga was on tour I hated being away from her and our daughter, so her ass being on vacation was torture.

“Tomorrow, baby.”

“Hope you got the earliest flight.”

“I do have an early one.” She smiled. “Six, so set an alarm.”

“Alarm was set when yo’ ass got out the car the other day.” I admitted. “Miss the fuck outta you girl.”

“I miss you too,” she replied. “Where’s Nai?”

“In there with Big Ma knocked the fuck out.” I chuckled, glancing in the direction of my grandma’s room. “Her little ass been running the fuck out of me all day.”

“You know my baby’s energetic.”

“She bad as shit with her cute ass.” I chuckled. “But what we need to talk about? You know I hate when you text me shit like that.”

“We’ll talk when I get there tomorrow.”

“Naw, we fina talk now, G. I don’t want to wait.”

“But I do.”

“Kenya…”

“Okay, bossy.” She chuckled. “It’s nothing serious. Just about the wedding and Midnite.”

“What about the nigga?” I frowned.

I hated when she brought his ass up to me period. Wasn’t even that I had an issue with buddy, I just didn’t care for him. We were cordial enough to speak whenever he was around but that was it for me. He was her friend so we kept it that way.

“Sanchez.”

“What about the nigga, baby?” I repeated.

“Are you going to let him be a groomsman?”

“No.” I simply stated.

“Babyyyy,” she whined. “Why not?”

“Because I don’t fuck with that nigga, baby.” I chuckled. “That’syourfriend.”

“Right, and I want him to be a part ofourwedding.”

“Then make his ass a bridesmaid.” I suggested then mumbled, “nigga a bitch anyway.”

“Sanchez, that is not fair.” She pouted. “Your friends will be there.”
