“Nope, no naps.” Autumn said. “It’s your last week as a single woman. We have to send you out with a bang.”

“I’m definitely going to need naps as well.” Italy said and laughed. “I already know this is about to be exhausting, so we have to sleep.”

“I already warned Anario that they aren’t going to spoil the week for us because they definitely plan to impose.”

“I warned Kentrell too.” Italy laughed. “He is not trying to hear it though.”

“Sanchez hasn’t mentioned it, but that is saying enough. He will most certainly meet me wherever I am if he knows, so China don’t tell Anario the itinerary.” I glared at my baby sister. Her ass had a motor mouth when it came to her man, and his ass was definitely going to tell everyone else.

“Don’t even single me out.” She laughed. “You’re the one that told Chez about the limestone massages in Jamaica. Snitch.”

“Don’t even mention that.” Italy rolled her eyes. “Kentrell literally brings it up daily.”

“These niggas are hilarious.” Sam laughed. “They be on y’all asses. I love it.”

“Sanchez said no to Midnite being a groomsman.” I sadly stated. “He told me to make him a bridesmaid,” I added and everyone laughed. “That is not funny.”

“It really is.” Sam cackled. “He be doing my bestie so wrong.”

“I knew he wasn’t going to fold on that.” Italy shrugged. “Poor Midnite.”

“At least he’s cooking. That way he’s still a part of it,” China tried reasoning. “Have you told him.”

I nodded, tapping Tatum’s shoulder after getting her cap on and pointing to the dryer. I followed her, lowering the lid over her head then setting the timer and temperature before going back to my chair where Tres was seated, ready for me to put her wig on.

“He said he understands, but I still feel bad.”

“He’s coming to the wedding, bestie, and will still be contributing to your day by catering. Not everyone can be in the actual ceremony.”

“Roland said they’ve made their own plans to go out and what not while we’re in Atlyn Bay, but I’m sure Anario will still invite them out with the guys, right China?” Italy looked toward our little sister who was nodding.

“Rio said he respects how Sanchez feels, but Midnite is still his boy so he’ll invite them out to the club and stuff with him.”

I nodded, feeling a little better after hearing that. Midnite always told me that he was fine and didn’t care that Sanchez was being an asshole sometimes, but that didn’t stop me from feeling bad. He was one of my closest friends, so I cared about him dearly, but just as much as this was my big day coming up, it was Sanchez’s so I had to respect his wishes as well.

It took me a few hours to get everyone’s hair done. I did Sam’s hair last then she helped me knock my own install out once I was finished. The two of us cleaned up when we were done since we were the last two left in the shop then headed out.

It was still a little early in the evening and I felt bad about having my baby cooped up in the salon with me all day, so I took her to Altitude, a trampoline park in Atlyn City. I texted Sanchez to let him know where we were before we went inside. I had some stuff for us to change into, just t-shirt’s and biker shorts, since both of us had on dresses, so we changed before going out to play.

Since my baby was so small, I got some non-slip socks too so that I could jump with her. We’d tired ourselves out in an hour and Nai spotted someone with an Icee, so I took her over to the concessions to get one.

“Cute little girl,” a guy said behind me. I glanced back and smiled before thanking him. “She yours?” he asked and again I glanced back and nodded. “I see where she gets it from then.”

I didn’t offer a verbal response to his flirtatious statement, instead I stepped up to the counter to order my baby a slice of pizza, her Icee, and a water for me. Just as I got ready to pay for it, the guy stepped up and offered a twenty-dollar bill to the cashier.

“No, I got it.” I insisted.

“Nonsense.” He smiled. “I can’t allow a pretty lady like you to pay for anything.”

The cashier accepted the bill then offered his change after he finished the transaction. I didn’t go back and forth with him, I just slid to the other end of the counter to wait for our stuff, hoping they’d hurry the fuck up so that I could get away from this nigga.

“So,” the guy began when he joined me after ordering his stuff.

“Sir, I’m engaged.” I flashed my ring. “And I’m with my baby. I don’t mean to be rude, but can you leave us alone?”

“No disrespect.” He lifted his hands in mock surrender. “Just making sure you and the little one are good. No harm in that right?”

Again, I opted out of responding. I just rolled my eyes and gave my attention back to the employees who were making my baby’s drink. When one of them walked our order over to us I, unfortunately, had to let my baby down so that I could carry everything, and when I did, the man started up again.
