“You need a hand?”
I got ready to decline, but Sanchez’s voice sounded before I could.
“Naw, she don’t need a fuckin’ hand, G.” He stepped around the guy and slid his tall frame between us. “But yo’ ass gon’ need an ambulance if you don’t fuckin’ scram.”
“I’m waiting on my food.” The guy pointed.
“Go wait somewhere else ‘til my girl get done.”
The man’s eyes darted between me and Sanchez before he finally conceded and got the fuck on. Once he placed some distance between us, Sanchez faced me and smiled.
“Them lil’ ass shorts gon’ get a nigga clapped.”
He leaned down to kiss me before scooping our daughter up and ushering us toward a table. Like always, he sat Nairobi on the table in front of him and fed her.
“Fuck that nigga doin’ in ya face, G?” He glanced my way.
“He was being worrisome.” I rolled my eyes. “He paid for me and Nai’s things though.” I shrugged.
Sanchez stopped feeding Nairobi right away, motioning for one of the security guards keeping the fans at bay to come over then instructing them to throw the stuff away and reorder it. Nairobi was whining because he’d thrown her shit out, but she calmed down when he promised to get her more pizza, an Icee, Dippin’ Dotsandcotton candy.
Bishop, the security guard approached with our items, minutes later and all was well with Nairobi once again because her father kept his promise to her.
“She doesn’t need all of that, baby,” I whined. “Her stomach is going to be hurting later.”
“It was cool when that nigga bought it for y’all though.” He cut his eyes at me and I laughed.
“Don’t even, nigga. I didn’t ask him to pay for our stuff.”
“Ain’t decline either.” He chuckled. “It’s aight though. That lil’ dub gon’ cost him his life.”
Sliding closer to him and our daughter, I hugged him since he was sitting sideways on the stool and laid my head on his chest.
“You are so psychotic.”
“All loose screws when it come to y’all,” he agreed, glancing down at me. “You look good as shit, baby. Shame I’m gon’ fuck ya hair up before we go.”
“You will not.” I laughed, sitting back some. “This needs to last me.”
“You do hair, you can fix the shit.”
“Did you get everything you’re going to need?” I asked, switching the conversation up.
He nodded. “I went ahead and got Nai new shit too, for when she with her grandparents. They asses gon’ be at they own fuckin’ bachelor party according to yo’ pops. Nigga got a whole week of shit planned for them.”
“I know. Mama said they were taking them to Olympus Peak so they can go to Windbreaker for a few days then they’re coming to Atlyn Bay.”
Windbreaker was a theme park in the mountains, Olympus Peak. They had a smaller park within it for smaller kids, but I knew Kali was going to be all over it. She was a little daredevil just like China was. If one didn’t know them personally, they wouldn’t know that she wasn’t her biological daughter.
“Shit, I need to go with them.” Sanchez laughed. “I love Windbreaker.”
“I know.” I smiled.
Like some big ass kids, he went with my brothers-in-law and their friends often. They’d of course buy the park out so they didn’t have to worry about mixing and mingling with other people. I was a little shocked that he was in here with Nai and I, but he’d brought security detail with him. We had our own detailas well, but it wasn’t that bad when we weren’t with Sanchez although people knew that he was my man.
Once Nai finished eating, we went back out to jump for a while. Sanchez ended up having to ask the manager to shut the place down because the fans were getting to be a bit overwhelming.
After she tired herself out, we went home, got her bathed then showered ourselves before getting in bed. We were officially leaving tomorrow and I was a little sad about being away from them both so long.
