“Because I’m the bride.”
“Here nigga.” Trell entered the room with some inflatable shit. “Put this on. Turk brought it.”
I frowned. “Hell naw. What the fuck is this?”
He smirked. “One of ya accessories for the night.”
It was an inflatable ball and chain that readSame Vagina Forever.
I chuckled. “You know I ain’t puttin’ that shit on, G.”
“You don’t want people to know you locked down?”
“Right.” Kenya folded her arms across her chest.
“Don’t start that shit, G.” I cut my eyes in the direction of where my phone was propped up. “This shit corny as fuck.”
“I have something on.” She pointed to her sash that readRiding The Same Penis For Life.
“G.” I frowned but snatched the shit from my cousin.
“Where are you guys going?”
“Girl, please.” I scoffed. “I just asked yo’ ass where you was goin’ so keep that same energy. Bet not even think about peeking at my location either.”
Her eyes narrowed. “I definitely am, and pending where you are, I may come.”
“She won’t.” Italy snatched the phone. “We’re about to go Chez. Hey baby.” She blew Trell’s bitch ass a kiss. “Love y’all, bye.”
When the call disconnected I glanced my cousin’s way. “I’m gon’ kick yo’ girl ass.”
“Yeah, aight, mothafucka.” He chuckled and walked off with me trailing behind him, slipping my phone in my pocket after texting my girl I loved her and to act like she had some mothafuckin’ sense because I ain’t give a fuck what any of these niggas or her girls said, if I checked that story and saw anything I didn’t like, I was pushing up.
CHAPTER TEN
Kenya.
I smiled as I snapped a couple pictures of myself in the full-length mirror inside the bedroom of my suite. I sent a couple of them to Sanchez before sitting on the bed to call my mom. They were originally coming down tomorrow since it was the day before the wedding, but my dad decided to come a day early because he wanted to do a beach day with the kids.
“Have y’all boarded yet?” I asked as soon as the FaceTime call connected.
“Just got everyone buckled in.” She flipped the screen to show me the kids who were all engrossed in their own things. I smiled when the camera landed on my baby. She had the iPad her father bought her in her lap and appeared to be scrolling.
“I miss her.” I pouted.
“She’s coming, trust me.” My mother said and laughed. “Little sassy butt. Just like her mother.”
I smiled. “She’s not that bad.”
She scoffed playfully. “This little heffa is spoiled and has Chase wrapped around her finger. HerandKali.” She laughed. “They’re just like y’all when you were little girls.”
“Don’t act like you don’t spoil them too, mama.” I laughed.
“Exactly, Yaya.” I heard my father’s voice before he appeared in the camera. “Hi, baby girl.”
“Hey Daddy.”
“You look beautiful, baby.” He smiled. “You’re glowing.”
