“So,” she pouted. “Nairobi and I will miss you.”
“And you know I’m gon’ be thinkin’ about y’all the whole fuckin’ time.” I bent down to kiss her. “I’m gon’ go take these niggas bread then take you and Nai on a shopping spree.”
Rio had set up a poker night for the gang, so we were all going over for a little. My cousin was already there, blowing me the fuck up about my whereabouts and shit.
“Don’t try to butter me up.”
“I’m not.” I laughed. “I’m dead ass.”
“They don’t need you like I do.” She poked her bottom lip out.
“Don’t even do that, bae.” I laughed. “You legit leaving me for four days to go out of town with ya sisterstomorrow.”
“Whatever,” she mumbled. “I guess I’ll lay here and figure our playlist out since you’ve been of no assistance.”
“Told you that was all you in the beginning, baby. Shiddd, Jay the professional. Let him make the shit.” I shrugged, referring to Jay Money, her homegirl Tres’s nigga.
The nigga had really took off since he started deejaying at my shows. I needed someone last minute the last time I was on tour and he came through for me, since then it’s been up.
“Right, but I know you’re going to want songs on there too.”
“Luckily you know what I like.” I smirked and gave her a quick peck on the lips. “I love you.”
“No you don’t.”
“I do.” I grinned, kissing her spoiled ass again. “More than anything, and a nigga can’t wait to say I do.”
She smiled against my lips. “Me either.”
“We need to make another baby before then.”
“Babe.” She giggled, lying flat on the bed as I pushed her back so that I could hover over her. “That’s not how that works.”
“It is. You can be pregnant at our wedding.”
“But I don’t want to be.” She laughed. “I want to celebrate with you and our loved ones. We can work on a baby on the honeymoon.”
“Promise?”
“Scouts honor.” She lifted her hand.
I kissed the palm of her hand, her ring, then her lips again before I let her up. She was trying to keep me talking on purpose because she ain’t want a nigga to go, but I was gon’ get out before she dipped and left me with the baby for four fuckin’ days. I’d already let niggas know I wouldn’t be working and shit until after my honeymoon. A nigga needed a break and I was about to enjoy my shit. Jionne would hold the fort down until I got back.
Before I left I made sure to look in on my baby and show her some love. I was for sure going to miss them just as much as they missed me, and I was dead ass when I said I was going to think about them the entire time I was gone. They were all I thought about for real, so it was inevitable.
Big Ma was in the kitchen when I got downstairs, so after kissing her, I left out of the house, climbing in the car with Hulk, Tiny and Zed. I hadn’t been fucking with him as heavy as I used to, but he was still my brother so I was gon’ let him celebrate with me. Kenya had made it clear that she didn’t want the nigga in the wedding though because she didn’t feel that he was genuinely happy about our union, so I was respecting that.
The ride to Rio’s crib was spent with us smoking and listening to some of our unreleased music. With summer approaching, the team was putting together an album to kick off the Summer Fest we planned to start in AC this summer. It would also be the debut for my new artist, Ace. She was hot shit right now and a great addition to the team.
As soon as we got to Rio’s spot I smelled the grill. We went to the side gate and took the pathway around to the back where everyone was posted. They had already started to gamble, so I hurried to hop on the table and take their bread. I’d already told Rio I was gon’ be watching his ass because I knew the nigga had to be cheating when we played. I low key didn’t want to play with him, but it was his crib so I knew I couldn’t do that shit.
“Aight, I was thinkin’ we should all go to A5’s crib with the kids this weekend.” Rio said out of nowhere. “That way we all together to help each other and shit if we need it.”
“Nigga, what?” A5 snapped. “Y’all ain’t bringin’ them fuckin’ kids to my spot.”
“Yo’ crib bigger than all of ours and you don’t even have kids.” Rio argued.
“No kidsbeing key, my nigga.” He frowned. “I love all y’all kids and shit, but hell naw.” He shook his head. “Y’all ain’t coming to wreck my shit.”
