“Whatever I got,” he said, voice dropping an octave, “you got it.”
I narrowed my eyes, smirking. “Just like that?”
He nodded, no hesitation. “Car. Cribs. Whatever you need.”
My lips curled into a playful pout. “You got another woman holed up in one of your properties?”
He tilted his head, laughed again, and shook it. “Nah. I’on fund lifestyles, ma.”
“Oh?”
He pulled me right into his lap, arms firm around my waist as he adjusted me to face him. His dick stirred beneath me, even with his sweats and the blanket between us, and I couldn’t help the way my thighs flexed.
“Just mine?” I asked, voice soft and low now.
“Mm-hmm,” he hummed, kissing the side of my neck, letting his nose nestle into the crook where it always fit too perfectly. “I’ma spoil the fuck outta you.”
“Ooh.” I twitched when his hands slid around my lower half, squeezing like he was memorizing every inch of me again. “I got expensive taste,” I warned, breath catching.
He pulled back, eyes dancing. Still smiling.
“Yeah, I saw yo lil setup,” he said, speaking on my Hyde Park brownstone and my sleek black Lexus. “But I’ma upgrade all that shit.”
And the way he said it?
Not like a man trying to impress me.
Like a manalready invested.Like this was just the beginning.
I believed him.
Especially after the way he pulled off this whole snowy getaway like it was nothing. Private flights. Lakefront lodge. Warm hands. Full heart.
This felt like the beginning of the softest life I’d only dared to dream of.
“Like I told you before, Zoe,” he said, staring straight into me now, no games. “You’re mine.”
His hand slid to the back of my neck, thumb brushing the edge of my jaw.
“Ain’t no goin’ back to the way shit was before. We locked in.Forever.”
Then he kissed me.
Not rushed. Not hungry.
But full. Deep. Intentional.
Sealing my heart with his words and his mouth.
And for the first time in my life…
Foreverdidn’t scare me.
It felt like home.
We didn’t speak for a while after that kiss.
We just stayed there. Tangled.
