“Over freaky,” I added as they all cracked up.

“Y’all freaky as hell too—you just keep that shit contained,” Wani pointed at me.

“Man, hell nah!” I protested as Kensei’s face twisted just like mine.

“Don’t put that shit onus,” Kensei muttered.

“I’ll be freaky, man, but shit—muhfuckas know what it is,” Wani said proudly. “I love coochie too much not to be in it. Fingers in it, dick in it—tongue swirling all up and through that bitch.”

“Man, chill out!” I roared, half-laughing, half-trying to shut him up.

“Don’t front—aye, Zoe, he been hittin’ yo shit nonstop, huh?”

“Man, watch out!” I laughed louder as Zoe covered her face, red as a stop sign.

“Yeah, look at her face!” Wani called it. “I’m already knowin’. She finna be on the phone with her homegirls—baybee, lemme tell you! This nigga got a battery in his back—whew!”

“Shut up!” Zoe squealed, cracking up with us.

“Nah, youknowyou already told them some shit,” Wani said as I pulled her hands from her face. “Tell him.”

Zoe tried to hold it in, but her guilt flipped into laughter and gave her away.

“See, man—why y’all be doin’ that shit?” Wave asked, cracking up.

“Like y’all don’t compare notes,” Zoe slipped.

The second it left her mouth, she gasped.

“No, I didn’t mean it like that!”

Too late. We were gone.

“Nah, you meant that shit!” Wani clapped as he laughed.

“Y’all just be givin’ y’all homegirls an excuse to go behind y’all back,” Wave added.

“My friends wouldneverdo that!” Zoe said confidently.

“You think they won’t till you come home…” Wani stopped on purpose, looked at Oshon.

Oshon nodded solemnly. “...and find outshehome too.”

Zoe narrowed her eyes. “So wouldn’t that be on you, too?”

Attorney Davis had entered the chat.

Wani blinked, then grinned. “Yeah, it would. If you supposed to be loyal to her too. That’s backdoor activities fromeverybody.”

“Backdoor activities,” Wani, Wave, and Oshon echoed like a choir, while me and Kensei sat back, shaking our heads.

“Well, itis,” Zoe said with a shrug, standing her ground.

“I guess,” Wani finally conceded.

We all looked at each other—and burst out laughing again.

Yeah. She fit right in.
