“Tonight’s over.”
“Nope. It’s past midnight, so it’s a whole new day. We should get a few hours of sleep while we can.”
She stood and quickly undressed. He did the same and they collapsed onto the cot. Dain held her tightly. Instead of the feral urgency, this was tender. He pressed his lips to hers and slipped his fingers between her legs to make sure she was ready for him. He slid inside moving slowly at first.
Dain’s breath caught in his throat at the sensation of her hot, wet walls enveloping his cock. He watched Seraphina’s face as he moved within her. She bit her lip and half closed her eyes.
He wrapped his hands around her breasts, rubbing his thumbs over her nipples. She moaned and thrust her chest up at him. Seraphina ran her hands up and down his arms slowly.
“Look at me,” he said, needing to see the passion in her eyes.
Her silver orbs swirled with emotions. She moaned as he thrust in and out of her, his long, thick shaft filling her completely.
Dain moved faster, pulling out almost all the way, and driving into her center hard and fast. He moaned as he felt her hot, wet walls wrap around his cock.
Each stroke sent waves of pleasure exploding through his body. His entire body tingled with electricity. Her slick heat made it hard for him to wait until she came.
“Seraphina,” he whispered hoarsely.
Her fingers dug into his shoulders, and she moaned loudly.
Their mouths met and their tongues danced together in a heated passion. She grasped his arms tightly. She panted hard, her eyes closed, and she raised her hips to meet his.
“Dain,” she cried out as a volcano erupted inside of her, sending a lava of hot molten lava rushing over his length.
He looked up at the ceiling and he growled. His cock throbbed, and he felt the heat exploding deep inside of Seraphina.
Dain collapsed next to her and pulled her into his arms. Neither spoke. She fell asleep quickly and he soon followed.
Morning came all too soon. Seraphina walked to the creek to purify herself for the task she would face later that night. Dain hated to let her leave the protection of the ruins alone, but she insisted. He had to trust her divine power as an oracle.
Dain called Darius, Cassion, and Kael over to him and explained the mission. They were hesitant.
“We’ve noticed the darkness growing in you. Your rage is growing, and you almost hurt your own people during the last battle. We got the message that the oracle is real and what she says is the truth. However, perhaps you should let her go alone. Her presence is hurting you,” Kael said. “In fact…” He looked at Darius and Cassion, “…we wonder if maybe you should send her to someplace safe far away from you.”
Growling, Dain narrowed his eyes. “You don’t get it, do you? We are tied together. She is my soulmate. The only thing that sending her away would do is to distract me and perhaps make the darkness stronger. The curse surrounding her might be affecting me but she’s also the only way it can be overcome.”
The three men shifted uncomfortably.
“Now, you can either come with us tonight or you can stay here.”
He angrily pushed his way past Kael, hitting the man on the shoulder with his. The division between him and the brotherhood was growing, which frightened and upset him. However, the oracle had spoken.
Kael, Cassion, and Darius were waiting when Dain and Seraphina arrived at the gate at midnight. Dain was glad to see that his men still stood by him.
They quickly undressed and shifted. Seraphina mounted Dain and they took off, flying over the treetops. The night was clear, and the moon sent silvery moonbeams to illuminate the land. Owls hooted and the nocturnal animals scurried about.
They landed outside of the small kingdom an hour later. One of the guards stood as though to challenge them, but Seraphina waved her hand and muttered a spell. The guard fell to the ground, asleep. She quickly dispatched the rest of the guards similarly.
“We don’t want any unnecessary bloodshed,” she whispered.
Seraphina led the way to a river. A large, old, gnarled petrified tree hovered over the river as though guarding it.
Putting her hand on the tree, Seraphina muttered a spell. A small hole opened at the base of the tree.
“Get ready to move,” she said.
She knelt down and put her hand in the hole, pulling out a leather bag.
