I stood beside Reid, our fingers laced tightly together, the soft clink of our wedding rings audible whenever I adjusted my grip. His matching band glinted in the sun, a subtle contrast against the tattoo inked beneath it.

As soon as my finals were over, we got married in a ceremony that was loud, chaotic, beautiful—and very Iron Rogues. Fox had officiated. Gemma cried. Hawk’s sister Sheridan caught the bouquet. My mom had come to town and never left. The only one who’d been missing was Racer because he’d been busy finding his old lady down in Florida.

Reid kissed me like he had no plans to stop. And I hadn’t stopped smiling since.

Today, though, I was beaming for a different reason.

“You proud of me?” I murmured, leaning into Reid’s side as applause echoed from the crowd. The mayor had just finished his speech, and the ceremonial scissors were being passed around behind us.

His arm tightened around my waist.

“Always. But today?” His mouth brushed my temple. “I’m fuckin’ in awe, baby.”

I looked up at him and laughed. “You’re only saying that because you saw me wrangle that reporter into moving her truck out of the fire lane.”

“That too.” He smirked, then dropped his voice. “But mostly because I know exactly how hard you worked to make this happen.”

He wasn’t wrong. Between grant applications, community outreach, and chasing down contractors, it had been a marathon. But I wasn’t alone. Reid had backed me every step of the way. So had the club. I’d never expected to find a family in a biker compound, but that was what I’d gotten.

And as of a few weeks ago, that family was growing. Something I had realized this morning.

My fingers twitched against Reid’s. The secret I’d been keeping for the past few hours was already starting to feel too big to hold on to. But I was waiting for the perfect moment to share the news with him.

We watched the ribbon get sliced cleanly in two, cheers erupting from the crowd as the oversized scissors did their job. I caught sight of Dahlia wrangling her twins, same with Alice. Luna blew bubbles at her baby brother, with Molly and Maverick smiling at their antics.

My chest ached in the best way.

As the crowd began to filter toward the open doors, I felt a gentle nudge at my side.

“You okay?” Reid asked, watching me with a furrow in his brow.

“Yeah.” I bit my lip. “More than okay.”

We took a quick walk through the building, greeting guests and answering questions. I loved hearing the excited squeals from kids discovering the reading nooks and tech stations. The new library didn’t just have books. It had classrooms, a 3D printer lab, and even a kitchen space for cooking classes. All built with reinforced safety measures, thanks to Reid’s and my obsession with structural integrity.

When the crowd thinned out, Reid pulled me aside into a quiet corner of the library’s staff office. He tilted my chin up and scanned my face. “You sure you’re not overdoing it?”

I softened at the concern in his voice. “I swear I’m fine. Just a little tired.”

He leaned in to kiss me, and I melted into him for a few seconds before I pulled back, a nervous flutter in my stomach.

“There’s another reason I’m tired.”

His expression turned serious instantly. “What is it?”

“It’s early days yet, but apparently, it takes a lot of energy to grow a life.”

His dark eyes widened when the meaning behind my words registered. “You tryin’ to tell me that you’re carrying my baby?”

“Yeah.” I pressed his hand against my flat belly. “I just realized today how late my period is, so I took a test this morning.”

“I’m so fucking happy.” He captured my mouth in another deep kiss. “But next time, I’m there when you pee on that damn stick.”

I gave him what he wanted every other time he knocked me up.
