“Suck me clean.” Shock rippled through her wide gray blues, the sexual connotation not lost on her.
She suctioned it deeper, the roof of her mouth brushing the top of my thumb and her tongue cradling the bottom. Blood seeped from the wound into her mouth with every rapid thump of my heart.
Swallowing, she never took her eyes off me. I groaned when her tongue twirled around my thumb again. Then, with a slow, deep suctioning motion, she teased me with her mouth.
“Fuck. Good girl. Now I want you to bite,” I growled, the sound coming deep within my throat.
She stopped sucking and moved my thumb sideways. Her teeth pressed into the fleshy pad of my thumb, hard. My blood spurted into her mouth. I released a sound of intense pleasure that sounded feral and foreign to my ears.
“Dostatochno.”Enough.
She released my thumb. I couldn’t break eye contact with her. There was something so primal about this moment between us. I hadn’t felt this alive everin my life.
Before I could bring myself under control, my mouth pressed against hers. Unlike the kiss before, this one was unforgiving and unyielding.
I gripped the back of her head and parted her lips, her little whimpers vibrating against me. Then, sliding my tongue into her, I ravaged her mouth. In the span of seconds, the savage beast inside me was released.
The kiss soon became exploratory as I probed her depths. I bit down on her bottom lip, reveling in how she cried out. Drawing blood and sucking on it before I licked it.
Innocence never tasted so sweet. I had no idea what had come over me. Mentally, I was in a distant place, the blood rushing to my ears as her little sounds and moans pushed me on.
I trailed kisses down her neck and then up behind her ear. My lust spiked as she shuddered in my arms. She grabbed my face, bringing my lips back to hers. Groaning deep and low, I plundered her mouth harder, my nose smashing against hers.
Bending her head back, I shoved my body between her legs and kissed her until she was gasping for air. I wanted to fucking trespass into her soul, to consume every part of her.
“Ivan, please be gentle with me. That hurts,” she whimpered. I didn’t realize my hands were on her ass, let alone that I was grabbing it so hard.
I released my grip and stepped away, clearing my throat. “In this room, I’ll show you how to desensitize yourself to pain. I’ll teach you what danger looks like. Look at me. Now,” I roared. She swallowed hard.
“You once said you knew men like me. If that is true, then you know what I am, don’t you?” My heart beat wild and hard inside my chest.
“What am I?” I screamed, the veins in my neck straining.
I wanted her to run from the room and tear up like she did last night. A part of me wanted her to be afraid, to flinch away. She had a grip on me that was completely frightening.
“Answer me now!” My voice echoed in the room.
Chapter 13
Ivan
Confession
She pushed herself off the wall. Taking a deep breath, with swollen red lips and fire burning in her eyes, she said, “You are the danger. I don’t need you to teach me what danger looks like. Hell, I don’t need you to teach me what evil looks like.” She sauntered toward me with her chin raised, challenging me. “What I need from you is to teach me how to kill that which I fear.”
I could only stare at the beautiful girl in front of me. So shewasafraid? My hand snaked out, and I traced her cheek. Internally, I vowed to do everything I could to prepare her.
“Now, are you up for the task? Or are you wasting our time down here?” She stood with her hands on her hips.
“Tell me what you know.” Her reaction was completely unexpected, and I was impressed. This defiant girl was weaving the strands of her life into mine and my brothers’ in ways I wasn’t prepared for.
“I know that when I enter a room, I should sit with my back to the wall to pay attention to who is in the room and what they are doing.” She paused before continuing. “I work out exits every time, all of them. I know how to run from sitting, lying down, or kneeling. I know where I should run and where I shouldn’t. Conversely, I know when I should run and when best to stay. I know how to assess objects around me to see if they could be used as weapons to protect myself.”
Someone had taught her well.
“I also know how to distract a man long enough to make my move. But there are certain things that make me freeze.” Her breathing grew harsh.
“Like what?” I demanded, my voice laced with curiosity.
