“Nieces and nephews,” I lied.

I spent time with Holt almost every single night.

Sometimes he was awake when I did that. Sometimes he wasn’t.

But I got my quality time with her kid no matter what.

One of my favorite places to be was in the chair in her living room, rocking away with him in my arms.

“Ready?” I asked.

She nodded.

“Is the bike okay?” I asked. “I brought you a thing to go over your hair before you put the helmet on.”

At her careful nod, I pulled out a silk bonnet that Keely had suggested that I use for Baker’s hair.

Baker’s eyes went soft.

The ride to the event center where it was being held was four blocks.

We probably didn’t need the helmets at all, but the Truth Tellers MC didn’t ride anywhere without them.

“That’s perfect,” she breathed. “Let’s go.”

Audric waved us off and closed the door behind us, and I prayed for patience as I helped her down the stairs and to my bike.

Baker flushed when I helped her get the bonnet on, but her eyes held excitement and appreciation.

It was weird looking into her eyes now.

She was so expressive—so different than she was when I’d first met her all those months ago.

I could see every single emotion running through her gaze, and she didn’t try to hide it from me.

“Thanks,” she exhaled as I slipped the helmet gently onto her head.

I smiled and let her head go.

When she was situated, I said, “Gonna have to hike that skirt up, baby girl.”

Her eyes flashed up to meet mine, and something passed in between us before she dipped her head down and caught the hem of her skirt with her hands.

She lifted it high, almost to the point where her panties would be showing, and said, “Help me up?”

I got on the bike with ease, then held out my hand for her.

She took my hand, hers soft and tiny in my rough, large one.

She threw her leg over the bike, and I saw a flash of white silk that had my cock lengthening.

I gritted my teeth and turned my head forward, waiting for her to get situated.

“Ready,” she announced as she scooted close, but not too close.

I hated the distance.

I wanted her completely up against me, not a single scant inch of distance between us.
