“Oh my gosh, this is a lot of games.” I lean forward and push some of the boxes aside, making sure I can see everything.

“Yeah, they have a whole cabinet full of just games,” Mikey explains.

“This one.” I pick up a black and white box, and the room erupts with excitement.

We turn it into a drinking game—if your card isn’t picked, you take a shot. After three rounds, Mikey and I are practically falling out of our seats from laughing so hard at the fact that we’ve taken the most shots.

“Alright, I’m going out to the hot tub.” Ace tosses his cards down and stands up.

Bodine claps and points at Ace. “Hot tub truth or dare, I like the way you think.”

“That’s not?—”

Bodine cuts him off as my eyes bounce between them. “Shut up, it’s happening. Don’t take this from me.” Mikey and I look at each other and shrug.

“I’m in.”

“Me too.” Mikey stands up, stumbling out the back door. I laugh and pour myself another drink before joining them outside.

They’re all already in the hot tub with the jets running by the time I make it out there, and since my swimsuit is currently in the washing machine, I guess I’m going in with my underwear on. They’re practically the same thing. It’ll be fine.

“Will you hold this, please?” I hand my drink to Ace and he nods. Then I drop my shorts and pull my shirt over my head, showing off the blue bra and thong set I’m wearing.

“Katarina, where the fuck is your swimsuit?” I scrunch my face at Ace, taking my drink from him.

“In the wash.” I hear him mumble something in Spanish, then he looks at Mikey and Bodine. He says nothing, but both of them look away from me. I cross my arms over my chest and look at him.

“Get in,” he demands. I want to argue with him, just for the hell of it, but I also don’t want to ruin game night by getting into it with Ace,again. So I climb in and sit down next to Bodine, seeing Ace’s jaw tighten as I raise a brow at him. He brings out the sassiest of my attitudes, and I find great joy in watching his eyes get all crazy when he looks at me.

“Okay, boys. Who’s going first?” I take a sip of my drink and Ace shakes his head, taking a drink of his as well.

Bodine volunteers, turning to face me. “Katarina, truth or dare?”

I roll my eyes. “Truth.”

“Is it true you’re the one who added jalapenos to Mikey’s burrito that one day we went to lunch and he came down with fire shits?” My eyes widen and I see Mikey’s head snap in my direction.

“I hate you,” I say through my teeth.

“Iknew it!” Mikey exclaims, making me fall into a fit of laughter. “You know I can’t have jalapenos, why would you do that to me?”

“You took the last cheesy bread when we went out for pizza the time before that. I had to pay you back somehow.” His mouth hangs open.

“You’re a little evil, you know that?” I shrug, taking a sip from my drink.

“Kat’s turn!” Bodine smirks, but I turn to face him, ready for war.

“Bodine, truth or dare?” He leans in a little, bringing his nose closer to mine.

“Dare.”Ugh, he would.

“I dare you to text Tabitha that you miss her.” He pulls his hand out of the water, slinging water everywhere.

“Kitty Kat, you’re just helping a player make a move.” I laugh, knowing he’s probably right. I’ve never been good at this game. I’m either too lame or too extreme, so I avoid playing altogether.

“My turn!” Bodine sets his phone back down under his towel on the table to the side of the hot tub. “Ace, truth or dare.” I look over at Ace, as he smirks at Bodine.

“I dare you to streak through the backfield.”Please do it.
