I turned on my side and slowly sat up. Since it was closer to my due date, Janeiro never let me shower alone. Now that I was in my third trimester, Ro was super overprotective. He feared I’d fall and hurt myself in the shower. Plus, he constantly reminded me that I carried three babies instead of one. It was the excuse he used to be a helicopter partner.

Ro strolled in from the bathroom and helped me into the shower. We washed and caressed each other until the water chilled. Once we dried off and dressed, he took me out to get my favorite breakfast. Stuffed strawberry and cream cheese French toast with cheddar cheese scrambled eggs and turkey sausages was the perfect meal. If a side of cheesy grits were added, it would be a heavenly meal. I burped loudly after drinking my juice.

“Ro, you feed me too much. I think you’re trying to fatten me up like a holiday turkey.”

I stuffed another forkful in my mouth. He shook his head and laughed.

“Bella, you’re so dramatic. I’m not feeding you to fatten you up, baby. I’m feeding you because that’s what I enjoy doing for you. Plus, when you eat, so do my legacies.” Ro winked and wiped his face with the napkin. “Are you done, Bella, or you wanna eat some more?”

“No, big papa. I’m finished. I can’t eat any more because I’m thinking about my surprise!” I squealed as I twerked in my seat.

“Alright. Let’s go then, Bella.”

Janeiro paid for our food then helped me into our truck.

Minutes later, we turned into the gated community my father lived in. I looked at him suspiciously.

“My father has my surprise?” I arched a brow.

“No, ma’am,” he answered without taking his eyes off the road.

We drove for a few more minutes until we pulled into the driveway of a beautiful, Queen Anne style, Victorian home. The house looked like it came out of a children’s storybook. That was how unbelievable it appeared. The exterior would give any architect a hard on.

It was a three-story home with lofty, gabled roofs. There were picture windows and other uniquely shaped windows around the house. The stained glass and decorative woodwork made me want to cry. Dormers, towers, and turrets helped create the classic Victorian look. She was a true beauty. The manicured lawn and artistic shrubbery that was shaped into statues exuded magnificence.

Ro turned off the engine and looked to me. “I wanted to save this house for last on our list. You want to take a look inside?”

“Hell yes! I would love to tour it, but don’t we need a realtor to be present? It's an amazing home, but I have no plans on delivering my babies in a federal prison,” I joked, but I really was serious.

“It’s fine, Bella. Dawn got the approval and keys for me while we were away. Trust me, love. You’re safe with me.”

“Ro, I knew I was safe with you the moment we met. If you say we’re good to go, then I trust you. Let’s go in!” I expressed excitedly.

“My girl.” Janeiro climbed out the car and helped me out.

As we walked up the driveway, there was a huge for sale sign that couldn’t be missed. If I liked what I saw inside, then this baby would be ours. Ro guided me up the stairs and unlocked the door, allowing me in first.

My knees damn near buckled at how immaculate and grand the interior was. There were high ceilings and an ornate staircase that jumped at you first. We took our time and walked around the lower level until Ro guided me up the stairs to the main bedroom.

“Damn, this room is nice. I could see myself having a lifetime of orgasms in here with you, big papa.”

Janeiro laughed. “Is that all you think about, beautiful?”

I placed my hand on my face and imitated the thinking emoji.

“Pretty much. I can’t help it. Every time I’m around you or not near you, I just wannajump your bones. As you old folks say.” I snickered and teased him.

“Ooh, nice one, youngin. I see you got jokes. I’ma remember that later on. For now, let’s check out another room. Maybe see which room would suit the kids?”

I nodded in agreement. “That sounds great.”

Janeiro allowed me to take my time as we walked to the next room. When he twisted the knob, he had to catch me quicklybecause this time my knees did buckle. I faced him with wide eyes.

“Ro? What is this? I-I mean. I know what it is but how? How did you do this? I can’t believe you right now.”

My lower lip trembled and my tears flowed like a river. I hiccupped and cried. Ro rocked me in his strong and toned arms. He rubbed my back gently until I gradually calmed down.

I turned in his arms and stared at the beautifully decorated nursery. My dad stood there, holding Londen around the waist.
