Sounding a little like a petulant child he whined, “But I want to see it.”

“I’ll wander down tomorrow and take some photos on my phone so you can see what I mean.”

“Okay, but I’m going to see it soon,” he warned. He rested his chin on my shoulder then kissed my neck. “I think I’d better feed you. What about a pizza?”

“Okay,hun.”

“I’ll ring and order some. It’s too late to cook now.”

He straightened and I turned to him.

“I’m sorry I fell asleep, Anabelle.”

“John, it didn’t bother me. I understand. You overdid things, that’s all.”

“I promise I will listen to you next time.”
