Sebastian told Jack he’d do a quick check with the club manager then join him upstairs. He watched Jack head up the stairs to their home then walked into the club.

Most of the patrons had left.A few stragglers were finishing off their drinks and saying their goodnights. He spoke to Walt, who reported that it had been a busy night but no problems.

Sebastian bade him a good evening and headed across the courtyard. The huge barn doors were all shut, and his footsteps echoed loudly across the pavement.

Entering the house, he found Jack just coming out of the bathroom after a quick shower. He gave him a kiss before he, too, showered.

Joining his mate in bed, he stared at the ceiling with Jack’s arm laying across his body. How different Jack’s arm, his body, felt compared to Lucy’s.Jack was hard where she was so soft.He smelled masculine whereas Lucy smelled of fresh rain.He put both his hands on Jack’s arm and turned to look at him.“Big day.”

“Very.Don’t know about you, Seb, but this feels different. This feels like it was meant to be.”

“I know what you mean. There’s just something special about the way we fit together, the way Lucy reacts around us.I know this is all new, especially to her. It’s early days, less than two months, and maybe I’m wrong, but I get the feeling this is so different to any other partners we’ve had.I know you really liked Stephen.I did too, but it just didn’t feel the way this does.”

“Oh, I agree.Stephen was great, and I was attracted to him a lot, but when he started complaining about you being so dominant all the time, I saw him in a different way.”Jack gave a laugh.“I can’t see Lucy ever wanting a turn at dominating you.”

Sebastian grinned and shook his head.“That would be the biggest surprise.Probably shock her more than anyone.Anyway, I really like her.”

“You know, Seb, she’s been alone a long time.Been looking after someone most of her life.I told you about the conversation we had after the movies.I think she’s shoved all her pain down deep because either she didn’t want her daughter to know or else she simply had no one she thought would help her deal with the loss of her mum and her isolation. She had no one she could let it all out to.”

“I’m sure you’re right, hon.Maybe one day she’ll trust us enough to let go of it.”

“It’s as if she’s wormed her way into both our hearts already.”

“I agree. It’s been ...what, five, six weeks?”Jack nodded.“She’s become important to us.”

Jack propped himself on one elbow, still with his hand across Sebastian.“It was like when I first saw her. Before she’d noticed me.I got this jolt, I swear.”

“When you pointed her out and she saw us looking, I knew she was attracted to us, but I would never in a million years have guessed that this is how it would be.She’s a fascinating woman. There are depths to her that I think would be interesting to explore.I like having her as a friend, not just as a lover.”

“I would, too.Do you think this time we’ve met someone special?I do.”

“So do I.There’s something about Lucy I can’t quite put my finger on, but it tells me that the three of us were destined for each other.”

“I hope you’re right, Seb.”Jack sighed.“She’d be so easy to fall in love with.”

“I know.As you say, she’s touched our hearts already.”

“You know what I find wonderful? She seems to look at us both the same way.She doesn’t appear to favor one of us over the other.I’ve got my fingers crossed.”

Sebastian gave a quick snicker.“Me, too.”He kissed Jack lightly.“Let’s get some sleep, hon.We can do no more than hope Lucy feels the same way we do.Who knows what the future holds?”

Jack leaned across and returned the kiss.Instead of a heady passionate kiss it turned into something sweet, something tender and loving, and filled with the hopes of both men.
