CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

Omega Chamber,Idol Manor

“I’m going to kill the twins.” Naked, I writhe in fevered heat.

“Not before I do,” Torin mutters, darkly.

He pulls off his suit jacket and adds it to the nest, which has already been built out of my dress.

I clutch at the jacket’s sleeve, taking a satisfyingly deep breath of its vanilla tea scent.

I’m curled on top of the dress like the long train is a foaming wave, and I’m a mermaid in heat.

“Promise?” Cricket builds up the sides of the nest with his shirt.

Cricket is as naked as I am. He’s already added his clothes to the nest.

This heat is different to any that I have experienced before. It’s hit faster and harder.

I can sense how unnatural it is, tugging my body down into an early, chemically induced heat.

The total assholes.

Yet even if the twins had no fucking right to do this by spiking my coffee (hitting me in my caffeine addiction was low), their sly reasoning may have saved our pack.

If we bond before Philomena arrives, then she won’t be as much of a threat.

All three of us always intended to bond.

I worry on my lip with my teeth. “Is this still romantic for you? I wish that this moment was special—”

“Itisspecial,” Torin insists. “Every moment that I spend with you both is. It doesn’t matter how we bond, only that we do. Also, I got to be a true Prince Charming, carrying my princess damsel in my arms up to the Omega Chamber to save her.”

“Don’t get used to that.”

“Don’t worry.” Torin’s gaze becomes devilish. “I prefer to be the Beast, anyway.”

I chuckle.

Then I pant, as a wave of heat hits me.

It’s becoming more difficult to think clearly.

My core throbs, wet with slick.

My skin is oversensitive and desperate for touch.

Like he can sense it, Cricket shuffles closer across the nest. He draws his hand across my collarbone and then down between my breasts in sensual circles.

I sigh, pushing up into his touch. “More.”

Cricket leans down to capture my lips, before he massages my shoulders.

My skin is tingling and overheated, despite how cool the Omega Chamber is. Blasts of air from the inbuilt air conditioning kiss across my flushed cheeks.

The entire floor of the room is a springy mattress. The walls themselves are covered in a soft woolly wallpaper. Crimson velvet drapes cover the window, cocooning the room like a womb.

It’s simple, serene, and calming.
