That was all her.

All instincts.

All impulse.

And that recklessness was born from more than the fact that Korben had probably never seen a naked woman before and thus had nothing to compare her to.

She hadn’t bared it all out of some misguided fear.

She’dwantedto.

Wantedhim.

Wanted his touch so badly it made her chest ache.

This planet had done something strange to her. Or maybe it was unfair to blame the planet. This was all Korben’s fault. She’d never trustedanyone—except maybe her sister and aunt—the way she trusted Korben. He made her feel safe and cared for. He paid attention to the little details and went the extra mile to show her that she mattered to him.

His willingness to take bullets for her and shield her from acid rain further proved that he was someone she could rely on.

And for that reason, Sara felt ready to share her most intimate self. To open her legs to him. To share her body in return. But Korben hadn’t taken everything she was offering. Though she’d felt, seen and heard his desire, he drew a line and didn’t cross it.

She’d been far too busy screaming and writhing and digging her nails into the sand to wonder why the alien was holding himself back. Now that she was catching her breath, she wondered why Korben didn’t just take her. Was he waiting for something? Was he nervous? Or married?

Sara quickly tossed the notion. He wasn’t that type of alien.

She hoped.

Besides, she probably wouldn’t have been able to handle all of him today. What hehaddone to her on the bank damn near blew her mind. Korben’s tongue, mouth and fingers werebuiltfor giving filthy, alien pleasure. His tail alone rocked her worldseveraltimes.

To be honest, at one point in her life, she’d thought she was hopeless. No one seemed to be able to hit the spot and, since she was such a loner anyway, she figured she could be satisfied without it.

Now, Sara knew she’d been wrong.

Dead wrong.

Korben had unlocked her. Whatever he did, no matter what it was—something as simple as touching her lips with his thumb—made her body throb. He’d awakened something inside her. Something deep. Dark. And bold.

And she loved it. Loved this person she was becoming. Not a mere survivor. Hell, that’s what she'd been on earth. Just doing what she had to do to get by. To make it to the next day and the next. One foot in front of the other with no aim. No control. No desires.

But here on this planet, beneath Korben’s insistent strokes, she’d exploded with desire and then she’d been satisfied until she felt empty. Hollow. Licked clean like a hot bowl of soup savored on a cold day, not an inch spared from the swipes of the tongue.

She lifted one arm and it floated weightlessly like jello. Her inner thighs still held the indentations of Korben’s ears that had jutted into her soft flesh as she’d clamped her legs around his head and begged for more and less and all of it.

They needed to move.

She knew that.

The fact that Enthara was running out of power was still a problem. The sun was setting in a few hours and wherever they went next, they’d have to hike it, leaving them exposed to more dangerous creatures, crazy wasps and who knew what else that would try to kill them on this insane planet.

They’d only stopped here so she could soothe her itches and clean up. It was her fault they’d taken a detour, but, technically, it was his fault they’d stayed as long as they did.

Korben liked touching her.Thatmuch, she could say with certainty. His rough hands had grabbed her thighs and hiked them on his shoulders. His moans had floated over her skin. He’d grunted when she tugged on his hair and cried out her pleasure.

The rest… it was all lost in translation, but she got the hint that he was getting serious about her. There was something in Korben’s eyes. Behind the intelligence, the lust and the devastatingly wicked glint that surfaced whenever he knew he was pushing her to the brink, was a steady and tender care.

She saw it now as he rolled over and looked at her. There was awe and a glint of mischief in his eyes. “Your first time?” She arched an eyebrow and gestured to his pants that he’d pulled up after she’d insisted on showing him what she could do withhertongue.

“Sah-ah.” Her name was a pleased grumble on his lips.
