The alien had ruined her. Sara realized that turning back now would be difficult. She was already desperate for his touch. For his intense purple gazes. For his pleased grunts. Who thought that it would be blue skin and a spine that could break off into a weapon that did it for her?
Ga Eun smiled knowingly. “Have you and Korben…” She glanced to the side and her lips tightened. “Never mind. You don’t have to answer that.”
Sara shook her head. “We haven’t.”
“Oh?”
“I mean,” heat seared her cheeks, “we couldn’t keep our hands off each other, but we didn’t gothere.”
“Were you frightened by… him.”Her blush climbed to the roots of her hair. “I assure you that even if it is a little overwhelming at first, you won’t break. The human body is surprisingly capable of—”
“No.” Sara coughed and fanned herself rapidly. “No. It wasn’t because of that. He’s the one who pumped the brakes.”
“Oh.” Ga Eun laughed.
“You don’t think I should be worried, right?”
“No, I find his restraint very sweet.”
“Sweet isn’t the word I would use. What Korben did to me…” She licked her lips as a tremble worked her body.
“Ah. Dirty then?”
“Filthy.”
“Depraved.”
“Unbelievably.”
Ga Eun smirked. “Did he use his tail?”
“Girl, thetail.” Sara bit down on her bottom lip to keep from squealing.
The women shared a secret grin.
Finally, Sara cleared her throat. “Moving on.”
“Right.” Ga Eun tried to wear a serious expression. “What were we discussing again?”
Sara laughed.
“Anyway, the Plutonians take mating very seriously. It’s probably why Korben wants to talk to you. He wants you to know his heras and accept it with all the cards on the table.”
“Heras?”
Ga Eun smacked her forehead. “Oh crap. Rune’s speech has rubbed off on me. My apologies.Herasis your heart. There’s also the theras, which is similar, but it’s not the organ. It’s the subconscious mind.” She pointed to her head. “It’s where you download who you want to be and what you really believe.”
“Are there any other words I should know?” Sara teased. “Earlier, you said you were here for three ‘sun cycles’?”
Ga Eun laughed again. “Years. Sun rotation is days. You’ll get the hang of it.” She winked. “Why don’t we talk while we eat?”
“Sure.” Sara’s eyes swept back to the door as she waited for Korben to appear.
Ga Eun’s eyes fixed on her. “That will get worse with time.” Ga Eun shrugged. “The longing.”
“Worse? Shouldn’t it getbetter?”
“Not for us. Every day, we make the choice to love each other. It’s almost like a way of life here.”
