I pressed my mouth to her nipple and swirled it around the peak. “Say it again. Tell me how much you want me. Say it louder this time. I’ll never get tired of hearing it.”

She arched into me and gasped when I bit down. “I never wanted or needed anyone like you. Please don’t stop.”

I sucked and circled, feeling her heart pound against her chest. “You’re going to feel me everywhere. You’re already shaking for me.”

Her hands went to my jeans, fumbling with the button. I helped her slide them down my legs. Our breaths were frantic as we both removed our clothes.

Once her panties were off and she was completely naked, I gripped her thighs and shoved a finger inside. She was already wet and ready. I teased her with my fingers, loving the way she trembled from my touch. “You are the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Her lips parted with a moan, and her head fell back. “I love the way you touch me.”

“I’m going to do more than touch you. I’m going to bring you so much pleasure. You won’t be able to think straight.”

Then I pushed into her, and she gasped. Her fingers dug into my shoulders, and she threw her head to the side. I loved knowing I was making her so desperate. I continued to drive into her. The heels of her feet dug into my back. Her tits bouncedwith each push. I increased the pressure, feeling her clench around me. I kept drawing out every ounce of pleasure I could. She moaned and kept her eyes on mine. I continued sliding in and out. I loved this woman more than I could ever explain.

“Brooks.” She moaned. “You feel so good. I can’t hold on for much longer.”

“Then let go,” I said, slipping my hand between our bodies and rubbing her clit.

She came apart with my name on her lips. And just like that, all the drama from her ex, all the bickering and doubts over the past few weeks, slipped away. All that mattered was the way her body moved with mine. The way she moaned my name, and the way we seemed to fit like we were made for each other.

I greedily continued to fill her up until I felt the familiar pressure build. She held on, giving me her body and letting me take what I needed. She felt like heaven. I don’t think I could ever get enough of her. I slid out and slammed back in, burying myself to the hilt. She squeezed herself around me and I came. I followed her to a place that left me panting and satiated.

Once I was done, I closed my eyes and brought her to my chest.

I kissed her damp hair. “Did you happen to pick up any dessert at the store?”

She laughed. “You’re seriously thinking about food right now?”

“I’m starving. All you fed me was a small piece of fish and a scoop of rice.”

She smacked my chest. “The only dessert I have for you is called the ‘Chef’s Surprise,’ and it’s between my legs. So, I suggest you bring me to bed and enjoy the hell out of it.”

“Best dessert ever,” I said, and lifted her over my shoulder and stalked to our room. All that mattered, all I needed, wasright here in my arms. And I could not wait to build my life with her.

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

HARLOW

The scent of fresh roses and gardenias hit my nose the second I stepped inside Bloom & Vines. It was the same flower shop Molly worked at when she spent the summer here with me before our last year of college. It looked exactly the same, with overflowing flower buckets and gardening tools scattered across the counter.

“Look what the cat dragged in,” Mona, the owner of the shop, said, looking up with a wink.

“Hey, Mona.” I smiled as I crossed the shop.

“You’re cutting it a little close, aren’t ya?” she teased, brushing a few white curls off her forehead. “Most brides give me at least six months’ advance notice. You’re giving me fourteen days. This isn’t a drive-thru, you know.”

I laughed. “If anyone can pull it off, you can.”

She was adjusting a bouquet of carnations, and I noticed her hands were a little shakier than I remembered. “Luckily for you, I’m a miracle worker.”

“I didn’t realize you were still running this place until Molly mentioned it.”

She hopped off the stool slowly and pulled me in for a hug. “I have a few kids who help me out from time to time, but theydon’t last very long. You know me, I need to keep busy. I don’t do well sitting still.”

Mona would probably be running this place until the day she died, but she was obviously slowing down. My guess is that everyone was aware of it except her.

“You look good,” I said, standing back to meet her eyes.
