We slept naked, so I licked my lips while looking at how that dick hit that inner thigh. “What the fuck, Navy?”
I forgot that Ant was on the phone. “Thanks, Ant.”
“You really doing some hoe shit right now,” he ranted as I ended the call with him, because I didn’t have time to listen to him puthisshit on me.
During our entire relationship I had remained faithful, loving only him and choosing him. He was the one who cheated on me and then continued to cheat. I stopped living for a while when it came to Antwan. Thinking of everything he wanted, and never thinking about what I wanted.
Laying in a beautiful villa in St. Lucia on my birthday with a man that was hung like a horse was exactly what I deserved. My phone started to ring again, and when I saw my mother’s facetime, I sat up and covered up with the blanket.
“Hi Mommy!”
“Happy birthday, Navy Bleu… my favorite hue of blue. I love you so much, Mamas.” It was rare that my mother called me mamas, but whenever she did, I always felt extra loved.
“Thank you, Mommy. I love you so much.”
She smiled into the camera while at work. I recognized her background, as she ran her hand through her hair. “I love you so much, too, baby. What do you have planned today?”
“What’s wrong?”
I was so in tuned with my parents that I knew something was wrong with her. She stared at the camera and smiled. “None of your business.”
“Mom, please… what’s wrong?”
“Work has been stressful. We were called to a scene of a home where there were neglected children… all were missing children. These kids were so malnourished, scared, and abused… takes a toll on you, babes.”
From her eyes, I could tell that she was tired. My mother loved her job because she loved to help children. I’d be lying if I said she didn’t take her work home with her. Growing up, there were many nights she came through the door and the first person she found was me. She’d smother me in kisses, making sure that I knew that I was loved. I knew it was because she had seen something horrible at work and couldn’t shake it before she crossed the threshold of our apartment.
It was the reason I worked so hard.
I wanted to retire both my parents, so they could enjoy life. They both worked so hard, and they deserved to enjoy their lifetoo. I almost felt guilty at times for traveling and being able to have this life while they were stuck at work.
“I’m sorry, Mommy.” I sat up, removing my hair from my face.
“It’s alright, babes… it’s life, huh?”
“Doesn’t make it hurt any less having to see those things.”
She sat up and smiled. “Anyway, I called to hear about all that you’re doing today. Where is Landy Pooh?” She had randomly started calling him that, and now she teased him.
I think he enjoyed it.
I watched him tucking his dick in the briefs that he put on and looked at the camera. “In the bathroom.”
“Oh, okay. Well, I wanted to tell you I wasn’t able to get tickets for that rapper you wanted to see… bitches sold it right out my cart.”
“It’s alright, Mommy. Maybe I’ll be invited by a brand or something.” I smiled because she wasn’t built for fighting for tickets for a concert.
Brixx Belle was a rapper that I had been following for a while. She got her claim to fame when a video of her went viral while she was eight months pregnant. On the video, she was standing on the stoop spitting some real shit that forced everyone to be quiet and watch. While about to give life, she was out here giving us life.
She was underground at the time and went ghost for a while. Her baby father used to be a rapper, but ended up becoming an A&R. The public never knew what happened with her, but she was now signed to Raw Records and was going on her first tour after her album dropped last year. I was ready to shake my ass, feel like that bitch, and hear some real shit.
“Not okay… we were supposed to turn up together.”
I busted out laughing. “Mommy, you don’t even be knowing the words.”
“Whatever, girl… I know good music and she has good music. Maybe soon, Mamas. We’ll go to her concert and have a weekend away or something. On me… I don’t care what you have saved.”
My parents weren’t broke, and made decent salaries, however, I also knew they paid for my grandparents’ bills, and whatever their social security didn’t cover. Poppa loved taking everybody’s money playing dominos because he hated his kids having to chip in and care for him.
