She took off running back down the hallway. “I’m impressed.”

“She’s smart and loves treats with her big ass.”

“Aht, aht, don’t you fat shame my damn dog,” I pinched his cheek.

“Our dog, Bleu… you ain’t no single mother.”

He pulled me down the opposite hall toward his office. I had come in his office once, and then quickly left because he had a lot going on. So many monitors and things going on that it felt illegal to even be in there.

Landon sat down, pulling me onto his lap as he rolled us over to a different screen. “I want to let you in, Pooh. Want you to know the things that you need to know but trust me to handle everything.”

“Okay…” I was nervous where this conversation was going.

He reached on the sides of me and started typing quickly onto the computer, while looking at the screen. He was focused, as a smirk appeared on his face. It was when I paid close attention that I saw this nigga had the whole layout of my phone up on his screen.

“What the fuck?” I leaned forward, looking at my entire layout of my home screen.

He took it a step further, and clicked my banking app. “I could get into it if I wanted. I went to college to become an accountant but went back for cyber security. I’ve been hackingand doing cyber shit since I was seventeen. My brother’s best friend taught me all I needed to know. You don’t need the whole breakdown on what we do, but I can get into everything. When I asked for your number, I wanted that to come from you.”

I watched as he typed some more shit up, and the front of my building came onto the screen. “Are we watching this from the security cameras across the street?”

“Uh huh.”

“Is that how your family has this kind of wealth?”

“Ehh.”

“What are you not telling me, Landon?”

He kissed my neck. “Our hands are in a lot of different things. Case House is an escort business that generates millions a month. We own it and take care of our girls well.”

“Pimps,” I whispered.

“I don’t like that word.”

“That’s what it is…. Escorts are fancy hookers.” I snorted, and he didn’t find anything funny. “Sorry.”

“They’re family to us and we take care of them well. I’m serious about you… us. I can’t be serious if I don’t let you know who I am, and who my family is.”

I touched his face. “You trust me enough to tell me all of this?”

“I do.”

I felt all giddy on the inside that he trusted me. “My mouth is shut. I see how Greene protects your family, and I will do the same. Not my business to tell anybody. Actually, if someone even asks, you should kill them.” I slapped my hand over my mouth. “Landon, have you ever…” I did the gun motion with my finger.

“Yeah.”

“Really? Like handled them just like that?” I crossed my legs, while sitting on his lap, fully intrigued. “Like pull the gun out and handle ‘em for me, Daddy?”

“Navy, the fuck? This ain’t one of your fucking books,” he tickled me, and I busted out laughing, thinking of all the books I read when the MMC was about that life, and here I was sitting on the lap of one.

“Sorry… why am I so turned on right now.” I fanned myself, knowing exactly where I wanted him to put that dick inside of me.

He opened a file, and his expression turned serious. “Before the news breaks, I want you to know something that I did.”

“Oh God, what?” As an anxious girly, I couldn’t take not knowing what was going on, and at times I always thought the worst of things before finding things out. “Landon, what is going on?”

I held his forearm as he returned his gaze to mine. “You know I love you, right? I’m not saying that shit because it sounds nice, Bleu… you got me feeling something I haven’t felt in a long time.”
