Caden curled around me. He nestled against my hair and breathed in deeply, his whole body relaxing on his exhale.

I was so damn comfortable, and more than satisfied, riding a soft cloud of bliss. I got extra melty when Caden started to murmur sweet nothings in my ear.

“You’re perfect. Hotter”—he distracted me with light touches over my skin—“and sweeter than I could have imagined.”

Seth hopped up on the bed and I froze.

Caden kissed my shoulder. “I’ll feed them. I watched you do it enough to know how.”

I murmured my thanks and let myself sprawl. Seth settled into a loaf and insta-purred when I reached out a tired hand to pet him. I probably should have cared that I was naked, that I had love bites on my throat, and that the remnants of our fucking were sliding out of my pussy and onto the blanket, but I was too tired for that nonsense. I was half-asleep when Caden returned. I rolled toward him when his weight dipped the mattress, and he ran a warm cloth between my thighs, tidying up the state he’d left me in before wiping the blanket as well.

“Want a bath?” he asked, leaning down to kiss me.

Moving seemed like a bad idea. “Only if you carry me there.”

Caden laughed against my skin. “Okay. Give me a second to get it running.”

Don’t forget to make him take his nasty-ass medicine. Seth inched closer.

I snared him into a snuggle. “That reminds me you have to take yours too.”

He wriggled in my arms but I curled into a ball, trapping him.Forget I said anything.

“Too late. Caden, bring Seth’s medicine when you come back.”

Seth sank mournfully into my embrace.They should make it nice flavors.

“I tried to mix it in with the wet food and you ate around it.”

Yeah, that’s because it taints everything it touches.

I snorted. “It’s only for a few more days. We have to make sure you stay on the road to health.”

Fine. Can I have tuna after as a reward?

“You got it.”

Seth stiffened in my arms when Caden returned and passed me the medicine. I wrestled the pill in, closing Seth’s mouth over it.

Cruelty!

“Hush. Swallow it and I’ll let you go.” His throat bobbed under my fingers and I freed him. I turned to Caden. “Can you take yours in this form?”

“Shouldn’t be a problem.”

I handed him one of the pills. “I trust I don’t have to wrestle you into submission to make you swallow this.”

Caden grinned. “You can do that just for fun.” He swallowed the pill, making a disgusted face. “Equally terrible in this form.”

I lounged with Seth until the bath was ready and Caden carried me over, helping me into the water.
