Ezra lifts his head and smirks down at me. “Do you need something, Cube?”
I squeeze my inner muscles, and the sly grin disappears from Ezra’s face as he curses. My fingers grip his shoulders and I lean forward to kiss his lips before murmuring against his mouth. “Fuck me, Ezra.”
That’s all it takes for Ezra to stop screwing around. Well, actually, for him to start screwing around. He pulls out and pushes back in, grinding his hips against mine when he’s buried deep inside me. One hand is holding my ass and his other pushes up my shirt. He yanks down the cup of my bra and palms my breast. His fingers brush over my nipple, plucking and teasing it into a hard peak while I pant breathlessly.
Ezra’s hips piston as he fucks into me, all the playfulness from earlier gone. The low rumble in his chest vibrates against my skin and I’m already close to coming. Every damn time. I don’t know how he does it. I’d say it’s some kind of magic, but I know it isn’t. He just fits me perfectly.
The sound of our skin smacking together, the feel of Ezra’s hard cock owning me, has me burying my face against his shoulder to muffle my cries as my orgasm rampages through me.
“Yes, Ruby. Come all over my cock. Fuck, you feel so fucking good.” Ezra drives into me with a maddening pace, making my orgasm drag on so long I might pass out from the pleasure.
Ezra slams into me once more and stills, his body tense and shaking as he comes. His breaths are harsh as his lips brush over my ear. “I love you, Ruby.”
I tug his head back so I can kiss him, only pulling away to whisper my own “I love you” against his mouth.
EPILOGUE
EZRA
TWO YEARS LATER
“Holy crap. You’re married!” Ruby squeals, holding up a glass of some fruity mixed drink in a toast. “And so are you, and you, and you.”
Everyone laughs, the night overflowing with joy and celebration. Two years ago, I never would have imagined that Archer and Lena would get married. We didn’t even know Zara, so how could I have guessed that she and Rhys would also get married?
Aspen Street is decked out for the biggest, most incredible party that Wild Haven has ever seen. There are white lights strung everywhere, hanging between buildings and wrapping around trees. Miri outdid herself with the flowers. Huge brightly colored bouquets sit on top of every table. Flowering vines with vibrant blooms cling to streetlamps and the pergola, creating a living canopy over the dance floor.
When Rhys and Archer both proposed to Zara and Lena within weeks of each other, the siblings ended up having a race to the altar. Archer finally suggested that they have a joint wedding. Ruby had shouted “twinning” to which Rhys had told her to never say that again. Despite that, everyone agreed to have one big party, and do the deed at the same time.
Miri and Davis got married six months earlier. They disappeared for the weekend and came back the following Monday. They’d run off to Niagara Falls and gotten married on a fucking boat.
“Come dance with me.” I pluck Ruby’s drink from her hand and set it aside, tugging her out to the dance floor.
“I’m only going because I really want to dance, not because you’re bossing me around.” Ruby skips a little as she catches up to me in her lethally high heels, squeezing my fingers tight.
Ruby looks sweet and venomous tonight, just like both parts of her personality. She’s wearing a long black lace dress with a plunging neckline and a slit that keeps flashing me glimpses of her delectable thigh. There are tiny polka dots that are actually little wolves on the sheer overlay that covers her arms and chest. Her hair is still purple, but it’s a soft lavender right now. She’s wearing it loose tonight, spilling down her back in soft waves that tempt me to grab a handful and tug her head back.
I pull us to the middle of the dance floor, swinging Ruby around until she’s in my arms where she belongs. Half of the town is at the party, but I don’t pay them any attention. All my focus is on Ruby as we sway to the beat of the music. There’s a magic in the air tonight that has nothing to do with the Fae. It’s happiness from our friends that’s infectious.
“What’s your poison? A big wedding where the whole town turns out, or running off to Niagara?”
Ruby lifts a brow, a soft smile on her face. Ruby has never looked so happy or comfortable in her own skin as she has these past few years. It’s been incredible watching her grow more and more confident and comfortable with her talents.
“Honestly? I don’t want a bunch of strangers there, and I don’t need the entire town to show up, either. There are more than a few people on this island I could go without ever seeing again.”
I take the fact that she didn’t shoot down the idea from the get-go as a solid green light.
Ruby’s eyes grow dreamy. “You know, Birdie’s property sits on the edge of a cliff and overlooks the ocean. It’s wild and beautiful, but far enough away from the water that Axil wouldn’t be able to jump in. Plus, no sand. I think it would be incredible to get married there.”
I spread my hand across her back, brushing over the warm expanse of skin, and wish there wasn’t a layer of filmy fabric between us. “You’ve thought a lot about this, then?”
Ruby’s eyes grow more calculating, inspecting my face like she’s going to find something written on it. “Why do you ask?”
“Just wanted to make sure we’re on the same page.”
“And what page is that?”
We’re not dancing anymore, just standing still in the middle of couples swaying around us. Ruby’s arms are twined around my neck. My hands are splayed over her back and just above her ass.
