“Maybe you should’ve invited them to the dinner,” he joked. “We might need the Swiss to keep the peace.”

He and Dani were gearing up for their first time hosting the family for San Gennaro at the villa in a month’s time. The wedding, their first big event, had been a blast. They had no doubt this gathering would be fun too, provided there were no blow ups.

Dani opened one eye and peered at him. “Nico, I swear, if your family acts up, as the hostess, I will not be playing with them. They’re gonna find their asses in that dungeon, especially Tino.”

Whereas things were improving between Tommy and his wife, the opposite was true for Tino and Vanessa. After the fights over Antoinette, Tino signing up for the app was her last straw, despite his story being true regarding why he’d done it. Vanessa left him a month after they were back home.

Tino was a wreck. Everybody took turns spending time with him to make sure he wasn’t lonely, but minding a wounded, burly blond hurricane was exhausting. Only the strong…

“You know them by now. Get those handcuffs and whips ready. Ooh, on second thought, I might need you to lock me up too. Anyway, I’m psyched Gina’s coming this time. It was all she talked about today.”

“I know. I’m excited too. I’ll have another friend on my team. She’d better be careful, though. I’m kidnapping Baby Gino the first chance I get. Mmm…that’s nice…”

Some time “on the couch” with a couples’ counselor had done him and Dani good too. Drama, overreacting, poor communication—that was the Donahue-D’Alessio way of handling things. The Martina method was skipping away from problems instead of buckling in and facing them head-on. Neither worked for the fledgling family they were building together. This was their new plan, a new contract they had devised and agreed upon together. Dani called it the Cut the Shit and Deal with It Plan.

Now for his favorite way to spend time “on the couch.” Dani’s murmurs of enjoyment turned to a sharper moan when he cupped her tit and bit at her nipple through her shirt. She made a sound as though he’d bit too hard, and her hands journeyed to his hair to pull him off. Otherwise, she spread of her thighs so he could sink in between.

“Forget about kidnapping. I think we need to put in some more work to get our own Yoda.” His sly suggestion was met with a soft laugh as his hand traveled down to the waistband of her pants. “I need my baby to give me a baby. I can’t wait to see your belly big and round with my little Adriano…suck on your juicy tits…” He squeezed her breasts again for emphasis.

“Think Nonno will like the name Adriano or Adriana D’Alessio Martina Donahue?”

Grinning, he kissed her and made a face. “He’d better. He’s too anxious for it to happen to care about the name. He’s worse than my mom when it comes to that.”

“Oh, her,” Dani said, giving him the side-eye.

They laughed. Dani and Lina’s relationship had steadily improved once they’d returned to New York. It was obvious to Lina by then, as it was to everyone in both families, that they loved each other, had found their home in each other. Things weren’t perfect between his mother and his wife, but this was good enough for now.

Nico pulled her up to make it easier to remove her shirt and bra and pushed her back down to remove the rest. His willing lady ran her hand from his throat to his jeans, where she popped open the button and slowly slid his zipper down. She rubbed her hand along his abs, biting her sexy bottom lip and not hiding her appreciation.

“Anyway, it’s not really for them. Yoda needs another cousin as soon as possible. He can’t wait till then.”

“Less chitchat, more of this,” she said, squeezing his cock.

When she sat up to take him in her mouth, he was overcome by the feel of her lips and that amazing tongue. He lost the ability to say anything beyond, “Yes,amore. That mouth. So good at taking care of me.”

Nico pulled her off long enough to flip their positions and turn her around so the caregiving could be mutual. When he took his first long taste of the delicious treasure that awaited him, he groaned and dove in.

After a deliriously good stretch of time, Dani came in his mouth, her cries muffled with her lips still stretched around him. He was more than happy to switch positions again before she cooled down, treating them both to slow, deep fucking from behind with his hands slapping and squeezing her ass as time spooled away. The moans he wrung out of her this time went into the cushions, and when he reached his limit of ecstasy, his own deep groan was absorbed by the satiny skin of her back.

After the loving, they took a leisurely cool shower in their en suite bathroom. No ancient plumbing, no leaks. Nico scrubbed her scalp while she purred from his pampering. Carefully, he ran a comb through the oiled and moisturized silken locks while she made faces at him through the mirror of her vanity in their bedroom. They had a quick dinner of some no-fuss barbecue chicken and the rice she seemed to need with every meal. It was one of the many things he was still learning about her.

The phone had remained blessedly silent during their shower and haircare session and all through dinner. With the exception of Tino, they’d told everyone to take it easy on hitting that “call” button in the evening unless it was absolutely necessary. So far, so good.

Back on the couch in her cute, shiny braids, Dani argued with him over what movie to watch. They compromised on a martial arts action romance, pressed “play,” and snuggled in close.

Not a bad way to spend an evening at home.

The next morning, when he got back from his workout, Dani was in the bathroom. She’d already gotten the coffee started, so he prepped and ate his oatmeal while he waited for the brew to be ready. He was on the couch with his cup when she came out of the bathroom and sat down to give him a long, minty-fresh kiss. Nico reached to tuck her loose hair behind her ear, admiring the way her eyes sparkled in the pure light of a new day.

“You look happy about going to work,” he teased. “Do you need a morning pick-me-up?” He reached under her top, and she made a face when his hand tweaked her breast.

“Ouch.” Then she paused, laughing a bit. “I don’t think Adriano likes that very much.”

Nico paused, then laughed. He gazed at her as his heart picked up speed. “What?”

The thin sleeves of Dani’s shirt were long, covering half her hand. She pulled up the right sleeve to reveal that she was holding a white plastic test. He’d seen these tests on more than one occasion and had had his hopes dashed by them every single time. But this time, she was smiling when she opened her hand and showed him the tiny window with the results.

Two dark, thick pink lines. A hope realized. Another dream about to be fulfilled.
