“I think fuck buddies has a nice ring. I’m sure Wyatt would love to hear that.” Because if Cam couldn’t even admit what was happening between them, she wasn’t going to make it easy on him. And for all the confidence she could exude, Cam held her heart in his hands. And even for her, that was a scary position to be in.

He let out a pained sound, exactly like she’d expected. “Elle,” he protested, but offered no solutions of his own.

Pushing herself up on her knees, she hiked a leg over Cam’s body, settling her weight on top of him and wrapping her arms around his neck. She dropped her hips and rolled them slowly, her underwear brushing against his shorts. Leaning forward, she whispered in his ear, throaty and wanting. “What are we doing Cam? Are we dating? Are we together? Because we haven’t exactly covered that ground yet.”

Cam’s eyes fluttered closed, and she could already feel the swell of his cock growing between them, pushing against her clit. His hands wandered below her shirt, anchoring her hips in place. “You’re not playing fair.”

Elle bit down on his ear at the same time she ground her hips against him, friction building between their bodies in a way that she’d never tire of. She wanted everything that Cam would give her. “What ever gave you the impression that I would?” she said breathlessly.

Her hand snaked between them as she wrapped her fingers around his length, pulsing and needy. He used his ownhands to anchor her hips, their bodies already starting to move in a rhythm that they’d come to perfect over the last few weeks.

They needed to talk about what was happening between them. On some level, she knew that. It’s what the plan had been when she’d come out into the living room. Only, Cam had a way of making her plans go out the window, nothing better or more important than the electricity crackling between them whenever they touched. When he looked at her the way he was doing now. Like she was something precious, something to be cherished.

Elle should take a breather and dismount, her desire for Cam making all the unspoken words between them push so deep into her mind that she probably couldn’t string a coherent sentence together.

Because she wanted… God, shewanted. She could probably come like this, from the excruciating friction that was making her desperate and–

“What the fuck?” The voice–Wyatt’s voice–cut through her lust-filled haze like a knife.

For a second, she stayed completely still, like maybe this was all a bad dream. Because if there was an even more compromising position that Wyatt could catch them in, it couldn’t have been worse by much.

“Elle?” Oh, good. Her mom was here, too. Great. Cool. Totally fine. Nothing to freak out about, even as she felt Cam turn to stone beneath her.

She and Cam’s big debut was happening sooner rather than later.

It felt like minutes, but everything had only played out over the course of a few seconds. She could feel Wyatt looming in the doorway.

“We should give them a minute,” she heard her father say, which was just the cherry on top of whatever the fuck was happening right now.

“This ismyhouse. Which, apparently, my best friend and my little sister have been using as some sort of sex den in my absence.”

Elle scrunched her nose as she finally–begrudgingly–dismounted Cam, who looked like he was close to throwing himself out of one of the apartment windows. She’d deal with him later.

Because she was mad. At Wyatt for interrupting. At Cam for making her feel wild with her need for him. A need that she knew was mirrored in him, too, but that he feared acknowledging.

“Sex den, Wyatt? Really?” she said, turning to face her brother. His face was red, hurt and anger warring for dominance across his rugged features.

He took a step closer, her parents remaining flanked on his sides but staying back. “What else am I supposed to think, Elle? How long has this been going on?”

Elle looked at Cam, who was an ashen shade. He still hadn’t moved to stand up, like he was glued to the sofa. Like if he stayed still enough, he could disappear.

Which wasn’t great for Cam, as Wyatt’s attention turned to him. “And what the fuck, man? My little sister? You know she’s going through a hard time right now after losing her job. I can’t believe that you’d take advantage of that.”

“You lost your job?” her mom cut in, confused. Well, that was just fucking great.

“It’s fine, Mom.” Elle held her hand up toward her brother, pointing her finger at him menacingly. “And Cam did not take advantage of me, Wyatt. I’m twenty-seven years old. Old enough to make my own decisions.”

“Would be better if they were good ones.”

Frustration bubbled up in Elle, too much energy with nowhere to go. She loved her brother, but he was being amonumental ass right now. “Get a life, Wyatt. I’m sorry that we didn’t tell you, but you have no right to be this angry.”

Wyatt threw his hands up, not ceding an inch of his anger. “You know, you’re right. I have a game to coach later today, and I was just stopping by to grab my key before taking Mom and Dad on a tour of the new stadium.”

She physically put herself in between Wyatt and Cam as her brother took a heavy step closer. “Don’t you dare.”

“I just wanted to look him in the eye and tell him to be out of my house by the time I get back,” Wyatt said before shifting his stare over to Cam. “Got it?”

Cam nodded, still not speaking.
