Page 87 of Tempting Me

Slowly, I peel the covers away from my face and look at him.

His breathing is slow as he lays on his back, one hand resting over his head while the other is resting on his stomach.

Jesus. He’s in shape. When does he even find the time?

Rock-solid abs stare back at me, and I love that there is a small bit of chest hair on his pecs. My eyes wander lower to the waistband of his boxers. I don’t need to see them to know that’s what he’s wearing. The brand name around the waist is hint enough.

He looks so cute when he sleeps.

Innocent.

Ugh.

Crushing on Luca isn’t good for me.

I slink out of bed and instantly notice my pajamas.

Or, well, Luca’s shirt.

I tiptoe to the bathroom and close the door.

Looking in the mirror, my gaze drifts to the clothes, and without thinking twice, I pick at the shirt collar, pulling it over my nose to inhale.

It smells just like him.

What am I going to do? How do we go about this? Does he want to go about this?

I grab my toothbrush, brush my teeth, and then turn on theshower. When the water is hot enough to burn my skin, I step in and take the fastest shower of my life.

Still, after I dry off and step out in just a towel, my eyes flash to my empty bed.

Oh.

Well.

I guess that answers that.

I stressed over a conversation that isn’t even going to happen.

I tighten my towel and then head for the kitchen.

The moment I turn the corner, I find Luca rummaging through the refrigerator. He pulls out the milk, eggs, and cheese. He closes the door, spots me, and smiles.

He’s cute and shy as he sets everything on the counter and scratches his bare chest. Then, his eyes take in a painfully slow head-to-toe view of me.

Our eyes lock. He winks.

“I thought I could make you breakfast.”

Oh my god.

I’m starting to think this man is too good to be true.

And why is he both so freaking cute and sexy at the same time?

It’s annoying.

He’s annoying.
