"Did she tell you about my dad?" I asked, just trying to get information and he nodded slowly.

"Yeah.."

"Shit crazy." He went on, looking into my eyes.

"I said the same thing." I told him, laying my head into his shoulder as he wrapped his arms around me.

We sat like that for a while like that as we reflected on our day before he patted my thigh twice.

"Come on. You ready?" He asked as I pulled back, looking him in his eyes.

"Where are we going?" I asked and he shrugged.

"You comin' home with me right?" He licked his lips.

"Oh yeah." I nodded.

"Just let me freshen up and pack a bag."

"Aight."

Midnight

"Here, ma." Dom tried passing me the blunt he was smoking as I slick rolled my eyes.

He and I were sitting in his car out in front of his house. We'd just left my mom's and now we were just spending time with each other before going in for the night.

"Why do you always want me to smoke?" I ended up taking the blunt from him as he watched me intently.

"Man, just do what I said and hit that shit." He spat, making me shake my head.

"You're really such a bad influence sometimes."

"That's cause you always actin' all timid and shit, T." He fussed, pushing his chair back.

"Whatever." I said to him as I put the blunt to my lips. I took a quick pull doing my signature french inhale before I tried to give it back.

"Na' keep hittin' that shit." He told me and I shook my head no.

"Go head yo." He pressured.

"Babe, no. Why are you trying to pressure me?"

"Did you forget that I'll be working soon?" I expressed to him.

"What that mean?" He shrugged.

"Um, that these big corporations are not letting a girl like me in without a drug test." I explained and he smacked his lips.

"Yeah aight. They gon' let my fuckin' baby in. I don't know watchu talkin' about." He fussed, making me playfully roll my eyes.

"You my girl." He spoke sternly, making a smile fall upon my face.

We'd officially made it official again after his long talk with my mom and now he didn't know how to act. I couldn't blame him though, I was struggling to keep it together too.
