"What?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

"My mom.." I trailed off.

"She doesn't want me to be with you." I said again and he stood there for a while, thinking deeply before a small smirk appeared on his face.

"I know." He let out a chuckle.

"You know?" I asked and he simply nodded, taking a seat.

"You think I don't know that you be lying to her about your whereabouts, Tiana? We been together five years.." He trailed off.

"She ain't never like me." He shrugged.

"But guess what?" He asked, turning around to look at me.

"I ain't never give a fuck either." He spat.

"You like me right?"

"Of course I do, crazy." I playfully rolled my eyes and he shrugged.

"So that's all that's ever gon' matter to me."

"I love you and I'm with you."

"I ain't with her, so this relationship ain't got shit to do with her ." He went on.

"I love you too." I spoke, looking down as he turned around to pull me to him.

"That's what you was scared of this whole time?" He couldn't help but to laugh and I smiled small.

No but I'm too much of a punk to tell you what's really going on.I thought to myself.

"Yeah, I just didn't want you to be upset." I explained and he scoffed.

"Never. I'd never be upset with you because of some shit your mom got going on. She don't fuck with me, she never did and that's cool." He shrugged.

"As long as I got you, I don't give a fuck about shit else."

"She ain't gon' make me stop seeing you, I don't give a fuck what she do."

That night

1am

"Nigga, fall back before I have to bust a cap in that ass." Dej threatened Leek as we all sat in the living room, while they played cards and blasted music.

"Throw that shit out and watch what happen." She continued to threatened as everybody watched him change up his cards, throwing out something completely different.

"That's what I thought, pussy. Now that's game." She slammed her card down ending the game as everybody went crazy.

"Ohhhh shit."

There were so many guys in here right now, I couldn't even keep up with everybody. I just knew they were all friends of Dej. Dom knew everybody too but he just didn't call themfriends.

"You good?" He asked, taking a pull from his blunt in the rowdy room while I sat directly behind him on the couch.
