My nipples harden and throb and I nibble on my lip to keep from groaning aloud.
I know what these words mean.
I’ve read them in my books and longed to experience it myself.
Callum between my thighs… His dark head bent as he licks me in my sacred place.
Oh, hells…
I’ve never had this done, nor have I even spoken to anyone who’s had this done to them.
Is it as wonderful as it sounds?
Heat rushes to my cheeks just as his grandmother turns to face us once more.
She smiles knowingly, almost as though she can read my mind. She cannot. Though, she simply says, “Oh, it’s just an old saying, my dear. It means since he was a small thing. In other words,Callum…” She enunciates his name to capture his attention since his lips are pressed against my neck again. My cheeks feel as though the beams from a thousand suns are upon them. I want to hide my face in his chest. “…it’s been too damn long!” she exclaims.
“Yes, ma’am. You’re right.” Removing his lips from my neck, he turns to fully face her. I miss the contact but appreciate what he’s trying to do. I mean, as respectful as he is with me, he must be just as respectful, if not more, with his grandmother.
Hells!
I can just imagine this scene playing out in Laric. Us standing before my parents and Callum attempting to kiss on me like this.
Da would hang his skin as a war flag!
“Tell you what. The lemonade can wait.” His grandmother stares at us both. “Why don’t you kids go on upstairs. No one’s up there. I can’t quite manage the stairs anymore. It’s private. You cancleanup andrest. Take as much time as you need. And come on down when you’re ready. I have a feeling some conversations are in order.” She settles into a chair carved from a massive log, lined with moss, creating a thick cushion. “They can wait, though. You’re safe here. Go on up and take care of each other. We’ll talk. Later.” She winks at us before turning her attention to Trevor, “Be a dear and bring us some tea, my friend. And some of those little sandwiches I made earlier. We can watchAmerica’s Got Talent.”
“Well, this reunion just turned awkward as fuck,” Callum mutters under his breath.
“Why is that?” I ask, genuinely curious.
Facing me, he wiggles his brows and chuckles. “She basically just told us to go upstairs and have sex, Aeris. Grams just told us toget it out of our system.”
My mouth drops, practically hitting my chest. Callum rakes his gaze over me and my belly warms at the promise in his eyes, though he laughs at my expression.
“Come on, love. We do need to clean up, and then, it’spasttime I worship you.” My thighs clench in anticipation of his words.
* * *
I’ve never taken a human shower before and I’m not sure I could ever not want another one in the future.
This is ridiculously amazing!
Warm water, fragrant bath salts, rich soaps, and bubbling shampoo that smells like fruit and flowers…
Callum explains them all to me as I look at them, utterly confused.
These are amazing.
Why would I ever use anything else?
Laric would never have anything like this. Not that we have need of them. This tub is a huge claw-foot— that’s what he called it— and it’s big enough for at least three people. It’s heavenly with its wrap-around shower curtain. Another thing Callum identifies for me.
But then again, in Laric, Callum would never be in the bathwithme, either. At least not yet.
The moment I step into the shower, the water runs down my body like rain. Just long enough to drench my hair before Callum joins me.
His eyes roam my body. I have a brief thought that I should feel self-conscious about him seeing me naked—anyone seeing me naked for the first time— but I’m not. I love having this openness between us, and I’m fighting the urge to glance down at his body to see what the fuss is all about.
