I laughed out loud. It would be a fun prank to pull on Ethan. He didn’t like needles at all. The joke had merit, and payback was due, so I stored that away for future use.

Silas: So…are you guys okay with the fact that Damien and I are together?

Three dots appeared and then disappeared. I waited, holding my breath.

Dane: Hockey-wise, if you and Banning are focused on the game, in the game, I’m good. And I know that you will be. Personally, I’m happy for both of you. You two make a formidable team.

Finn: I agree with Dane.

Ethan: Me too.

Kayden: Same.

Maddox: Yep.

Jace: We’ve got your backs, Si.

Axel: And we’ve got a championship to defend next season!

Relief washed over me. I didn’t assume that every player on the team would be okay, but knowing that the guys I respected and hung out with the most were supportive, meant a lot.
