“I am too. I had my best meal yet there.”

“Oh my god, you are terrible!”

I silenced her with a kiss as we came to the dormitories.

Obviously, the dormitory rules had been lifted if you were mated or you were pursuing your mate. There would be no casual dating, Locke was fervently clear on that. He didn’t want a bunch of males or females coming back here and risking knowledge of supernaturals and the club.

“I’ll take care of it. I’m just getting you to bed. You worked too much tonight.”

Delilah remained quiet as we entered my room. Over the week since we had been home, I took her to her apartment, brought her things, and made my little apartment more like a home. It wasn’t ideal to have just a room and have to share a communal bathroom shower with the others, but we would have to make do. We were both shifters and staying in an area with humans was out of the question.

Schedules had been made for the showers, and Locke even hired Bear’s old clan members to come in and do some renovations. We were going to see if we could get a small bathroom set up in our already small room.

But the closeness didn’t bother Delilah. In fact, despite her overly elaborate upbringing, she was perfectly content with sharing a tiny room with a shared shower and space with her new family.

Thank fuck, because that was all we had right now. Until the land that Locke and Grim had set up was ready to go. One day we hoped that everyone would have their own cabin with their mates and their own families.

“Sunshine, I will get you settled and clean up the bar.” I opened the door to our room.

It held a light blue comforter, better than the single sheet that used to lie in on the bed. Two pictures were gifted to us by Anaki. One of our wolves sitting together after her first shift and the other of our welcome home party the night we arrived back home. Flowers sat on the desk we’d brought over from her apartment. Her clothes hung on one side of the closet, while mine were on the other side.

Fully fucking domesticated.

It looked all homey and shit.

I loved it.

“But four months. Why four months?”

“How long do humans gestate?” I asked again, pulling the blanket to her chin.

“Nine full months.” Delilah groaned.

“Fucking shit, that sounds awful. Good thing you don’t have to do that.”

“Because the hormones, that would suck for all of us,”Tyr whined.

Delilah bobbed her head. “I guess if you put it that way. But, but… We don’t even have a crib!”

I scoffed, laying her naked body on the bed. “The pup will sleep in my arms. Why humans have cribs is beyond my understanding.”

She opened her mouth to speak, but I closed it with two fingers.

“We have many things to discuss later. My mate needs to sleep, and I need to go clean up our mess, and I have a meeting.”

Delilah sat up, messing up the covers I used to tuck her in. I growled, straddling her waist, and pushed her back into the bed. She laughed, trying to wiggle away.

“A meeting about what? Can I come?”

I pinned her with a kiss, wrapping her again in the covers. “It is about the woman who saved you. Switch was able to break into Shane’s phone, as well as the security system at the mansion.”

Delilah’s eye brightened. “Is she alive?”

I nodded. “She is, and we are sending men first thing in the morning. But I need you to sleep.”

“But I wanna go to the meeting!” she argued, trying to wiggle out of the cocoon.

I growled, pinning her with my body.
