“No, not a goat.” I looked at her skeptically and shook my head.
“Hokay, sorry. You are the cutest wittle faun ever!” She stood and pressed both of her hands to my cheeks. She squished my face with her hands, puckering my lips. She leaned in and placed a quick peck on my mouth.
Goddess, I broke her.
Dear Goddess, I really broke her.
“What in the Moon Fairy’s name is going on?” A large orc pushed through the foliage. He bent under a limb, and when he stood, he had a big toothy grin on his face. “Lucy! I found you!”
Sugha.
My body went rigid when he spoke. Every inch of my muscles tensed and coiled like a spring. As I stumbled and fell face-first into the dirt, I could see the particles of soil and grass being kicked up by my impact.
I let out a huff, angry that my body had betrayed me. I didn’t stay frozen, just for a few seconds.I was getting better.I pushed myself up and shook my head.
“Miss Lucy, what did you find here?” His face fell. “And why are your tits exposed?”
I bared my fangs and stepped in front of Lucy to hide her from the orc. I crouched into an attack stance, ready to jump to defend her if I needed to. He would not touch or look at her.
“My boobies are out! Heavens me, I thought there was a draft.”
I looked behind me, and I saw her palming them. Instantly, my shaft was trying to poke out of my pouch, and I slapped my hand on my forehead.
Sugha raised his eyebrow, and his mouth hung open. “Uh, Lucy, are you alright? You don’t sound okay, and who is this fellow?” Sugha pointed at me, and I growled out again.
“Mine!” I snarled and pushed her back.
Sugha crossed his arms and laughed. “Well, this is certainly a turn of events.”
“Simon, Sugha is a friendly orc and—”
Sugha unfolded his arms. “Wait, Simon? Calliope’s Simon?”
Hair stood up on my neck when I felt Lucy’s fingers dig into my shoulders, and
a snarl ripped through her teeth. “What do you mean, Calliope’s Simon?”
Chapter Nineteen
Simon
Asmymate’sbreastspressed against my back. The scent filtered through my nose. Her body’s involuntary response to me. Her arms enveloped my stomach, creating a comforting embrace that I had craved.
“Who is Calliope?” she growled.
My ears perked up at her voice. She sounded… possessive. Possessive of me!
Sugha smirked. “What is going on? I have stepped into another realm.” He rubbed his hand across his forehead. “I didn’t know humans could growl like that.”
“I said—” Lucy snarled.
I whirled around and wrapped my arms around my mate, cutting off her words. She huffed when I put her face up to my neck, and she took in a deep breath.
“No one to concern yourself with,” I whispered to her. “You are my mate and no one else.”
Lucy let out a deep sigh and nestled even closer to my neck, her soft breath brushing against my skin.
Please, faun sausage,do not fall out of my pouch.
