“Are you awake?” Q called through.

“Um… yeah,” I stammered back, my eyes darted to the door to check it was locked. Phew.

“I’ve made breakfast, if you’re hungry,” Q said.

“We’ll be out soon,” Rocky replied, wiping his mouth with a grin. As Q’s footsteps treaded away, he added, “Not that I’m hungry anymore.”

I fought back a blush. The mention of food made my stomach grumble loudly. After an orgasm, a girl needed to refuel.

Rocky laughed. “Let’s get you some food.”

“Shit,” I murmured. “I have no clothes.”

Running away last-minute was great in principle, but it didn’t take into account the practicalities. In the middle of the sea, I couldn’t exactly drive to the store!

“I’d rather you didn’t wear anything,” Rocky said.

“We’re not the only two people on the boat,” I reminded him.

“Fine!” He sighed dramatically. “You can borrow one of my shirts. I like you in my clothes.”

That’d have to do… for now.

“Did you have fun last night?” Q asked as we joined him in the dining room. He sat drinking a cup of orange juice with a smirk on his face.

“Don’t you have a boat to be steering?” I grumbled, collapsing into a chair next to him.

“We’re anchored,” he replied, then turned to Rocky. “They’ll be here soon.”

My head swung around to look at Rocky in accusation. “Who will?”

He scratched his ear and squirmed in his seat, shifting his gaze to anywhere but me.

“You haven’t told her yet?” Q let out a low sigh and shook his head. He wasn’t stupid. “Looks like it’s gonna be your funeral... again.”

“Told me, what?” I asked.

“I was going to tell you, but there’s never been a right time,” Rocky insisted. “We’ve been busy.”

“You’ll never be ‘busy’ again unless you tell me what the fuck is going on,” I snarled. With Q around, there was no chance for him to distract me with incredible oral. “You better start talking. Fast.”

“I don’t want you to get mad,” Rocky said, wringing his hands. Whenever anyone says that it’s because theyknowwhat they’re going to say will make you lose your shit. “We’re not the only ones getting aboard.”

“Who?” I snapped. Although, I think I already knew the answer.

Rocky didn’t reply. He looked guiltier than when he got caught stealing candy from the store as a kid.

“Is this why you’ve been avoiding all my questions?” I pressed.

“You won’t have long to find out.” Q stood up and cleared his throat. He nudged his head upward and reached out to grab a pair of binoculars that were lying on the table.

I got there first. I snatched the binoculars and stormed to the deck before they could follow me. It was a crisp, still morning with little wind. A thin slice of land was visible in the distance, but it was too far away to make out any discerning features. I preferred looking in the opposite direction, where there was nothing but an endless stretch of undisturbed blue. I turned back to face the land and saw something out of place. A speedboat appeared on the horizon, ripping its way through the waves.

I looked through the binoculars and adjusted the lenses for a better look. A skipper accompanied a small group, and I recognized the figures aboard.Mieko. Vixen. West… and Zander. My heart rate quickened. There was nowhere to run. I was stuck and my safe place was about to be invaded by my fucking enemy!

I hadn’t realized Q and Rocky were standing behind me until Rocky placed his hand on the small of my back.
