“They want to come over and play,” I told him, pulling him onto my lap.
“They who, and what do you mean by play?” Easton asked him.
“River and Benny,” he said.
“They want to play in our dungeon,” I wagged my brows at him.
“Oh.”
“Guys, I’m still here!” Mickey yelled when the silence had lingered on too long for him. I hadn’t forgotten he was there but watching Easton’s face heat I knew he was picturing us in the room, surrounded by a crowd, so my attention was…elsewhere.
“Mickey,” I said, not looking away from Easton. “Are you guys looking for verbal instruction, looking to watch, or down for whatever happens?”
“Do not under any circumstance touch my guys,” he strongly verbalized.
“You know Easton and I do not share, so don’t even go there. Let me elaborate since you’re not grasping this. Here are your options: one, do you merely want us to walk you through the toys and what they do? Two, do you want us to perform which will more than likely include us fucking in front of you? Three, do you want to satisfy the twins and yourself while Easton and I do our thing as well? Basically, we’d all be voyeurs, which is something neither of us have a problem with, but you need to decide where your boundaries lie before anything takes place. Again, no one touches anyone else’s significant others. Clear?”
“Clear, sorry,” he digressed. I could hear muffled voices on the other end, so I figured his guys were there now.
“Hey Benny and River,” I threw out there.
“Hey Boo, hi Easton,” Benny cheerfully replied.
“Sup,” River added in his typical surfer boy fashion. Although he claimed to have never been on a board, his clothes and mannerisms mimicked the surfers I’ve met.
“Hi guys,” Easton returned.
“Well, what’s the verdict?” I asked, wanting to wrap this up.
“Ugh,” Mickey groaned.
“Hey Boo, Mickey’s turning fourteen shades of red here so I’m gonna tell you what we already discussed. River and I have played a bit more than Mickey, nothing anywhere near that toy house of yours.”
“Dungeon,” I corrected him.
“Dungeon. Mickey really needs to see you in action before he can make a decision, to be honest. River and I are down for watching or playing, and no, we don’t share either, so we’re in agreement on that rule,” he elaborated. I glanced up at Easton who in turn bobbed his head in response.
“All right be here Saturday night at nine,” I told them, I could hear Benny squeal, Mickey groaned, and River laughed before we disconnected the call.
Easton and I entered the living room, walking into a very animated conversation that was taking place. It was the most I’d heard Nathan speak. Jay and Mom were smiling as Nathan explained what was going on. “I guess I won some sort of contest at The Lambert House I didn’t know about, or I totally forgot I’d entered. Check it out,” he handed Jay the paper he had in hand.
“What’s going on?” I asked, walking up to them.
“Looks like Nathan won a scholarship to UDub from Lambert,” Jay filled us in.
“Right on, congrats,” I high-fived Nathan.
“Thanks. I gotta go though, I borrowed Randy’s car real quick, so I have to pick him up from work. I just wanted to come over and tell you in person,” the kid was beyond excited, smiling so wide I thought his face was gonna crack.
“Hold up, I’ll walk you out,” Jay told him.
Mom walked over and hugged Nathan. “See, I told you everything was going to be okay.” As she turned away from him, she winked at me.
For the last five years, I’d made an anonymous donation to The Lambert House for their scholarship fund program. This year, I made an additional one and asked that it go to Nathan but that my name again remained anonymous.
Jay came back in a few minutes later, taking the seat beside me, “You did this for him, didn’t you?” I couldn’t tell if he was mad or not, so I chose to tread lightly.
“I may have made a few phone calls, why? Is that a problem?” I eyed him curiously as I waited for his response.
