“Yeah, he has a habit of doing that. He’s a very intense guy—with everyone but me and Tripp. Tripp’s our boy.”

“I have anephew. This is… This isamazing!Waite hasa cousin! It’s just been he and I his whole life.”

The blonde woman who had been sitting next to my new sister-in-law stands and it’s a struggle as she’s holding a little one and isquitepregnant. “Because she’s rude and doesn’t make proper introductions, your new sister-in-law’s name is Nicola. We all call her ‘Nic.’ And I’m Greer, by the way. Sarge is my man. You’d think with the size of our brood, we’d have been married for years, but no—we just fuck like rabbits.”

Nicola and the third woman who hasn’t introduced herself yet both laugh like they’re at a comedy show. I do snicker, but I don’t know how many kids a brood consists of.

“The size of their brood is not only relative to the time they’ve been together,” says the third woman, “but the size of his dick and his ability to get her off.”

“Uh… don’t go there, Rae, because the size of my man and his ability to get me off has the angels weeping with joy for my good fortune. We just use condoms,” Nic says. “And unless you’ve been lying about Dark—”

“I haven’t been lying about Dark. We also haven’t been together as long as you and Vlad.” Rae has luxuriously silky-brown hair that I swear moves down her back like rippling chocolate. She’s a real beauty, too. Wow—these men sure can pick ’em.

“So you’re saying when you’re together as long as us, you’ll have a brood like Greer and Sarge?” Nic asks.

“Hell, no. I’m happy to let the Lennox lovebirds keep that title.”

“Our last name is Lennox,” Greer says.

“Yeah, I figured,” I reply.

“Speaking of size,” Greer says. “I’m assuming since you’re here that you and Rough have bumped uglies.”

“There’s nothing ugly about that man,” I mutter under my breath, but it’s not low enough because they all break out smiling.

“So what I want to know is,” she goes on, “what’s he packing and is he as good as the outside suggests? I love my man soul deep, but I’ve always wondered. I mean, Rough ishot.”

How much do I say to a bunch of women I don’t know? “He’s not only hot, he’s the kind of man to rock your world, then put it to rights just so he can rock it again.” Well, thatjust slipped out.

Their smiles say they’re glad I shared, but I feel kind of wrong for doing it. “Please don’t let Rough know I said that. He and I—”

“Girl, he knows once you’ve met us, you’re sharing. It’s a job hazard,” Nic says.

“Job hazard?” I ask.

“The job of keeping a Horde old lady satisfied,” Rae finishes and they descend into giggles.

“Oh. I’m not—”

Three pairs of eyes glare at me over three ‘puh-lease’ pursed lips. “Rough brought you here. You’re his. Might as well start picking out your wedding colors,” Greer says while waddling back to her stool.

I balk. “I’m sorry,what?”

“Don’t,” Rae says. “She looks like she’s going to vomit.”

“I think we all got that look at one point,” Greer says.

They might have gotten that look, but I feel my stomach roiling. We’ve known each other for three days. And Aja told me last night that he doesn’t want me, specifically. He just wants a warm body to fill some void in his life.

I will never marry another man—legit this time—who hasn’t fallen head over heels in love with me and has let me know it in no uncertain terms. Being dumped hurts too much, even if you aren’t in love.

It hurts too much.

“Everyone needs to get the fuck out of here,” Boss shouts at the group gathered in his room at the Brimstone Lords’ compound. “That includes you, Caity.” He’s one of those bikers who wears the man-bun that women go crazy for. But Elise, his wife, has him keep his beard trimmed. He reminds me of a viking, to be honest. Big dude—and I’m no slouch in height or muscle, but he’s like Reaper big and even with his size, bullets don’t discriminate and they don’t care how big you are.

She laughs in his face. “Aw… how sweet. You actually thought that would work, didn’t you?”
