Iwas so gangsta with the wayIdid shit that when she came home last night after visiting her little cousin,Taylor.Ihad the itinerary and the printed outDisneytickets right on the bed for her to see.Shewas happy as hell about it because she had never been.ThiswasBria’sfirst time going toDisneyWorld, and a nigga was happy that she would spend her first time there with me.Asfar as her other gifts, they were back at the crib becauseIcouldn’t pack all that shit in my luggage. We’dboth agreed to leave each other’s gifts at home and just open them when we got back.

“Yougoing to carry me?”Briasleepily asked onceIparked the car.

Ilaughed and then shut the rental off.Iwas pushing aJeepduring our stay.

“Yeah.Igot you, baby,”Iresponded before getting out of the car.

Ithen went over to her side and picked her up.Shestill hadBabyin her arms, but she reached into the car whileIwas still holding her and grabbed get her purse.Onceshe had everything,Iclosed the door and walked us into the big building and to the elevator.Thedoors immediately opened whenIpushed the button.Wewere all the way on the forty-sixth floor, so that’s the buttonIpressed once we got inside.

“It’sChristmas,”Briastated with a smile on her face.

“Damn.Itis, huh?MerryChristmas, baby.Thisis our first of many,”Isaid and leaned in to kiss her lips.

“MerryChristmas, baby.I’mso in love with you,” she cooed.

Briahad my ass blushing when she said that shit.

Thedoors eventually opened, andIstepped out, still holding her, and walked down the hall to our door.Briatyped in the four-digit code for the door, granting us access.Oncewe were in,Ilowered her to the floor, tookBabyfrom her, and grabbed his leash.

“Goahead and take your shower and stuff.Imawalk him right quick,”Isaid, and she skipped off to handle her business.

IhadBabyin my arms with his leash in my hand asIwent back to the elevator, got inside, and went to the fifth floor, where they had a doggy area.

Wewere the only ones out there, soIjust putBabydown in the grass, so he could handle his business.Whilehe did that,Imade a couple of phone calls to ensure that everything was in place for the proposal.OnceIwas assured that everything was good andBabyhad peed in the grass,Igrabbed him up, and we went back inside.

Ihad talked all that shit about not being nervous about proposing, but thereIwas, using my hand to wipe my forehead becauseIcould feel the sweat beads forming.Whenevera nigga started sweating, that meant my nerves were bad, andIneeded to hit a fat ass blunt.

ONE HOUR LATER

“Iwish it got cold like this inMiami.Iwould love wearing my boots and fur coats,”Briasaid the secondIcame outside and joined her on the balcony, which was right whereIwanted her because of what was about to take place in a few minutes.I’djust finished up in the shower and stuff, andIwas dressed in the red silk pajamas that she’d gotten for me to match hers.Honestly, it wasn’t really that cold.Itwas in the fifties, but seeingBria, you would have thought it was damn near in the teens because she was snuggled up in a thick ass blanket, and she had on herUggboots.Isaw the steam coming from her cup and knew she was having hot cocoa.

“Man, no, you don’t.Yoube bitching at home about how coldIhave the house,”Ishot, and she laughed, knowingIwas telling the truth.

Itook a seat next to her on the couch that was on the balcony and kicked my feet up on the small table in front of us, enjoying the view.Thecity lights, the big ass buildings, and the perfect weather just really gave off a good ass vibe.Ihad the ring box in my right pocket, so when she scooted closer and cuddled her body next to me, she wouldn’t feel it.Briahad her body turned, facing the view.Maybefive minutes later,Ispotted the helicopter, and my heart started beating fast as fuck because this was my moment.

“Youdon’t ever look at planes and wonder where they’re going?”Briaasked afterIgently moved her body off me, acting likeIhad to stretch.

Iwas nervous, so instead of answering her question,Ijust laughed.

“What?Thatwas a stupid question or something?” she wanted to know.

“Nah, baby.Iwonder that sometimes too,”Ireplied, my voice shaking a bit.

Sheturned to look at me for a second, basically questioning me with her eyes on whyIwas acting so weird.

“Iforgot you’re high,” she stated and then stood, putting the blanket on the couch as she stretched.

“Whereyou going?”Iasked.

“Inside.Pee-Wee, it’s freezing out here,” she said, andIlaughed.

“Holdon.I’mtrying to see what that helicopter is going to do.Whythat shit just paused in the air like that?”Iasked like maybe she knew.

Shehad a confused look on her face, too, wondering why the helicopter had stopped flying.Thenshe went over to the rails on the balcony and watched.Briawas so focused on trying to figure out what was going on that she wasn’t even paying me any attention.Iknew it would only be a few seconds before the red and green smoke started coming from the helicopter, and the sign formed, askingBriato marry me.

Iwas literally fuckin’ shaking asIgot down on one knee and pulled the ring out.Nowthe smoke was coming out of the helicopter, and right there, written in the sky, were the words,Bria, will you marry me?Allof a sudden,Iheard her scream.

Sheturned around, and her eyes went right to the couch where she had last seen me sitting, butIwas no longer there.Instead,Iwas right behind her, down on one knee, ring in the box, looking up at the big tears in her eyes.Thesecond she blinked, they instantly started falling.
