The first movie starts and we slowly eat pizza, both taking slices from the two pies. Once we have had three slices, we lie back and continue to watch the movie as we both fall asleep.
The last words we hear are ones of undying love.

Walking into the clubhouse, my mind set on finding Paul and asking him why he hasn’t touched me. He barely even comes around me. I made sure I dressed the part. I wore a black leather corset that set my girls high, and made sure they were on display, on my legs are sheer black stocking and my feet are snug in a pair of suede boots with a three and a half inch heel and fringe. To keep the chill off my back, I have a black leather studded jacket and my blonde hair is blown out. I channeled my inner eighties rock chick.
Skoden is at the bar snuggling with Spin, and Crowne is nowhere to be seen. Deciding to leave everyone to their devices, I make my way to the office and raise my hand to knock on the door.
“Busy!” Paul’s voice answers.
I knock again, harder this time. I can hear my Moose barking. So, I make sure I knock harder.
“I said I am busy,” he answers, as a female moan comes from the room.
“Jessikah, wake up,” Tina’s voice wakes me from my dream, her hand on my arm shaking me to make sure I am full awake.
“What?” I sit up, wipe the drool away from my mouth.
“There is someone at the door for you,” she states. The look of fear in her eyes makes me go on alert.
Standing and walking to the door and looking out the side window to see Paul and Moose. “Tina, it’s Paul, and he is bringing Moose back. It’s okay, we are safe.” She closes her eyes, and you can see her take a deep breath and nod her head.
I open the door and crouch so I can wrap my arms around Moose. He places his front paws on my shoulders and pushes his large head into my neck . “My Moose, mama missed you. Auntie Tina is inside waiting for her Moose cuddles.” I place a kiss on the top of his head, smelling his puppy smell.
“Thank you for taking care of Moose for me,” I say, as Moose runs into the house and jumps over the back of the couch landing on Tina as she giggles and wraps her arms around him.
“No problem, Baby. How are you feeling?” he asks, his hand reaching up and taking my chin in between his thumb and pointer finger and lifting my face so my eyes meet his.
“You never have to thank me for taking care of you. You will always be my top priority.” He leans in and places his lips on my forehead. “I should have done more to protect you.”
“This isn’t on you. And it isn’t on Neo. That asshole made the conscious decision to assault, rape and brutalize me and Tina, and murder Tina’s husband. That is on no one but the assholes that choose to do it,” I point out, stepping back so he can see my eyes.
“Okay, sweetheart. But I promise going forward you will want for nothing. What are you up to?” he asks, looking at the TV.
“Tina and I are watching rom coms, eating pizza and drinking pop. We are having a nice, relaxing night. Are you coming in to join us?” I ask, looking at Tina to make sure she is alright with having Paul here. She nods and snuggles with Moose.
“Tonight, I think you and your girl should have a relaxing night. I am going to check on Neo and then go and make sure the construction started on my house.” He kisses my forehead again, places his hand on my stomach, and pushes me inside.
“Lock the door and don’t open it for anyone but me or a member from the club that you know.” He nods at the door, telling me to close it. I close the door and he taps it, telling me to lock it. Once he hears the locks click into place, he leaves my front door and then I hear his motorcycle start and he drives away.
Why does it feel like my dream was a glimpse into what my future may be?
Chapter Twenty-Two
Lynx
Watching Neo struggle to stay alive was eye opening. Not once had I thought that one of my brothers could snuff out their own life. Watching him break was something I never thought I would witness.
Walking into the hospital, I see Crowne standing by the sliding doors. Her head is down, and her hands are hanging loosely by her side. I step in front of her, causing her to look up. Her eyes don’t register; her mouth moves and a distorted voice slides through her lips. “Sorry, I’ll leave.” Then she steps through the door and walks down the sidewalk.
“They took Neo off the ventilator. For a few minutes, he was declared dead. She didn’t stick around long enough to see his spectacular awakening,” Sue states, a small smile on his face.
“What did he do?” I ask, worried about Crowne’s state of mind.
“The little fucker sat up straight like theUndertakerat aWWEevent and asked the nurse if her tits were real. Then he slammed back down on the pillow and started snoring.” Sue chuckles, shaking his head.
“That fucker, we are going to have to make sure the nursing staff are well compensated,” I state, looking over my shoulder one last time before following Sue up to Neo’s room.
