“Sorry, Tina, I was having the best dream and then suddenly a snake took over and it turned into a nightmare,” I shiver rubbing my forehead and wishing for the headache that is now screaming across my forehead to go away.
“Welp, I did have some amazing news for you. The Mortgage Awards were announced this morning. You won national Broker of the year and top earner of the year. Your picture is in the newspaper.” She smiles as my face falls.
“Shit, Tina. What if they find out where I am? What if they come for me? I don’t have protection. I don’t even know if R.O.Y.A.L is still running. What am I going to do?” I start to hyperventilate, my breathing coming in quick breaths, my vision starting to go cloudy.
“Listen to my voice, Jessikah. You are safe, right now in this time and place you are safe. You have me and you have Tim. If I need to look deeper for protection, I will. You are not running anymore. You are a free woman. You are a strong woman. You are a loved woman. We stand and fight together,” Tina finishes her statement.
She is right, I have Tina and her husband Tim. They have been my biggest support system ever since I opened my Brokerage. I don’t know if I would be as far ahead as I am, if it wasn’t for her support and encouragement.
“You’re right. I deserve the win at life, at least in my job aspect,” I state, taking a deep breath and closing my eyes.
“I will meet you downstairs. You have about an hour before your first call,” Tina says, tapping my bed as she stands.
“Thank you, Tina. I want you to reschedule everything till later in the week. Today, you and I are going to celebrate our hard-earned win. We are going to do a little retail therapy, have lunch, and then you can head home early to your man. You will get a full day’s pay, because we earned this shit!” I smile as she screams and rushes out of the room.
Slowly getting out of bed and heading to the window, I look out at the quiet street. “Please, protect me from whatever is to come,” My eyes close as I turn my face to the clouds, then I turn and head to the bathroom for a nice hot shower before getting dressed in jeans and a t-shirt.
“Today is going to be a great day,” I state, while looking at myself in the mirror.
The tides were changing, but I didn’t know how they were changing or the impact each change would have on my life.
Chapter Six
Lynx
Watching as the club bunny’s head bobs up and down in my lap was doing nothing for me. Her mouth was cold, as if she was just eating a popsicle, hoping to lure in a brother, and I fell for it.
Was it stupid? You’re fucking right it was. Now I have to come clean to the woman I was pursuing. That conversation was going to be awkward.
“Stop.” I groan, running my hand over my face.
“Give me five more minutes. I can make you cum,” she mumbles before lowering her head to my deflated cock.
“I said stop,” I state, trying to sit up. Her arms have my hips pinned to the chair. Every time I move, she bites down on my member.
“Fuck, bitch. I said stop!” I shout, pushing her forehead back. Her mouth leaves my cock, and I quickly cover my junk, pushing the chair back.
“Getting old. You can’t get it up. Maybe you need to see the doctor and talk about the blue boner pill,” she mumbles, pulling her hand from her shorts and offering it to me.
“No, get out. If I find out from my brothers that you have forced them to continue in an act they wanted to stop, I’ll boot your ass out and ban you from ever coming back to the club. The men here are in charge, what we say goes. Every one of you bunnies know where the door is if you don’t like the rules. I said no, multiple times, and you still didn’t stop. Even the thought of letting you finish me off makes me sick to my stomach.” I watch as she turns at the door and smirks. There’s a look in her eyes that tells me she doesn’t believe me.
“Lighten up.” She shakes her head.
“No, you don’t get it. If that was me forcing you to do something you didn’t want to do. You would have my ass or any of the brothers in a cell with the word predator hanging around our necks. You are here voluntarily and you need to remember that. Fuck the warning. You will be removed from my club!” I vow, slamming my hand on the desk. She shrugs and walks away.
Dropping my head to my desk, I close my eyes. I have wanted my own woman for years. In the last five months, I have pulled away from using the club girls, and simply had some one-handed fun. But there is something about Jessikah Gorman that is driving my protective instincts into overdrive.
“Yo, Pres. You good?” Slick asks, as he walks into my office. Slick is a tall man. His frame makes others think he is weak. But the man is a bodybuilder, and a big rig mechanic. The man throws around the stuff under the hood of a truck like he throws snowballs.
“Slick, did you see the woman that just left the office?” I ask, lifting my head from the desk. His eyes are on me, his mouth in a frown.
“Yeah, boss. That’s Spin’s sister Spun. The brothers don’t like when she is around because she pushes herself on them and makes them feel as if they asked for it even if they tell her no. We all get busy finding something else to do when Spin brings her to the clubhouse,” se states.
“Why didn’t you guys tell me?” I ask, slamming my hands down on my desk. Do these men not know that I have their back no matter what?
“Come on, Pres. Men don’t run and tell others when a female makes them uncomfortable. That’s like handing over your man card and wearing a thong,” he states. Shaking his head as he adjusts his crotch.
“Well, she is no longer allowed on club property, or at any club events. I will not have her around wreaking havoc in this club. Send Spin in, will you?” He nods and leaves the room.
